  1. Australians here seeking some help on where to park our car in Galveston before our cruise on Liberty of the Seas. I’m sure this has been covered before but we are new to cruising in this area and would like to drop off our car and get a transfer to the port. Thanking you all in anticipation. 😊

  2. There’s a huge difference between a 1A cabin on Celebrity and Suite Class on Royal.

We have done both. A full suite on Oasis and a Junior Suite on Ovation. In fact we’re currently on Ovation of the Seas and suites are amazing. New ship, modern and RCCL really treat suite guests extremely well. We also get into Coastal kitchen which is exclusive for suite guests and it’s like going to a Specialty restaurant every night. By 2020 Royal will have another new ship down under, I think it’s Symphony of the Seas and it too will be amazing.

  3. Well done 👍 on that upgrade. You will love it. We had a suite on Oasis and we had free drinks in the Coastal Kitchen from 12pm as long as you didn’t want cocktails. They were from 5pm. You can also go into the concierge lounge for drinks. We had most of our meals in Coastal Kitchen and loved the perks. Fresh fruit was delivered regularly and the large space is amazing. You will get priority boarding, bookings for all the shows and there is a special seating area for suite guests in the theatre. Believe me, it’s hard to go back🤣

  4. Please don't be too quick to blame the staff.

Last cruise we were in a suite where room service deliver fruit and canapés regularly. My husband followed a room service member into our stateroom and the staff member placed the fruits on the table, they chatted and he left and closed the door. My husband looked around the room and realised to his dismay..... that he was in the wrong cabin:o:o:o. He very quickly left feeling very embarrassed, and we laughed about it later. He is honest, however not everyone is.

  5. We are just home after sailing on Oasis. We booked through the Aus site and the benefits were not listed. We had an aft Grand Suite and loved the suite benefits. The suite lounge was amazing with great views, and we used it every day. It was a quiet oasis on a very busy ship. Free drinks, beers and wine from 11-11 and any cocktail from 5-8.30pm. The Internet was so fast and we were even able to FaceTime our kids. The restaurant food was excellent for breakfast lunch and dinner and we would do a suite again without hesitating.

  6. Thanks for that. I was also confused. Might email them to see if they are open on Sundays.

Sorry to tell you Anna but just about everything is closed on Sunday's in Noumea. We've been there a few times, twice on Sundays so we booked excursions. Last time we went out to Labradee Island on the ferry. Fabulous resort with a pool and snorkelling and the best buffet lunch.

  7. We just got off Voyager on Tuesday and the Diamond drinks area is on deck 14 Viking lounge which overlooks the pool area. It's a very lovely area and they were very generous with the drinks. There was only 50+ Diamond members on that cruise. They also put 3 drink vouchers on your sea pass to use in any bar area to be used from 5-8.30pm.

  8. You can prepay which we usually so then it's done. However if you don't they add the gratuities onto your account daily.

If you want to tip certain staff yourself you will have to go to the pursers desk and remove them. They leave envelopes on the bed the last night for you to tip as you please. 😀

  9. I live in So. California, so I might be able to help you. You must be going to Disneyland. Anaheim is probably at least a 45 minute drive from San Pedro with no traffic. You should not have too much traffic getting off a ship in the morning and most would be traveling the opposite direction. My guess is that a taxi would be more expensive than hiring a shuttle service, but I'm not sure what taxis charge in this area. Two car services that I have used in this area are Supershuttle or Primetime shuttle. You should be able to go online and get a price quote. Sorry, but I have not been to the San Pedro port in quite a few years, so I am not sure what other options are.

Funny, we are going on an Australian/New Zealand cruise at the end of February.

Thank you so much for your help. Hope we can help you out on the Aussie site too
