I am on Odyssey next month. Wondering if the order of the menus corresponds with the order they are shown on RCL blog. Is French second night? What night is Caribbean jerk? I need to schedule some specialty dinners for the nights I don't care for.

Are you stopping in Icy Straits? Hoonah is right by there and whale watching from there is supposed to be excellent.

I had Celebrity help desk order luggage tags for me last week and got them Monday.

The only thing about deck 6 is that, on the port side mid-ship on deck 5 is a smoking area. If you are on your balcony above it on Deck 6 you may get some second-hand smoke.
Be sure to sign up for Captain's Club. There is breakfast for Elite status in the Tucson grill (not sure if it is all mornings).
Enjoy your cruise.

I would sign up sooner rather than later. Whenever I have a question or issue, I call Captains Club and they are
very good at resolving it. Happy sailing.

I'm not sure this is true, but I've read you can go to the Purser's desk (help desk) and they can show you the menus for the week. I'm going to try it, in order to schedule Specialty dining also.

We brought a small blow up pool for one year old 4 years ago. Crew was amazingly helpful to us. I put it between our chairs, but when they spied it, they filled it and emptied it for us. We also used it to let baby play with toys unfilled.
Since you asked, I wouldn't put a swim diaper on a fully potty trained child. I understand your thinking, but it sends the wrong message.

Hopefully they didn't empty it into the pool. ;)

Only 2 weeks and we'll be starting a new ritual.
We arrive 2 days early because we wanted to explore the city (Vancouver). Never been there and it looks fabulous.
Day of Cruise: Get to the ship as early as possible. First time as Elite so embarking should be easy (cross fingers). First stop: Cafe al Bacio for one of their wonderfjul coffees. Then time to get organized.
Check out our dining arrangements in MDR. Go to purser's desk to see menus for week and decide which
night(s) we want to go to specialty restaurants. (Check out specialty restaurants to see if there are any deals).
Concierge lunch in MDR.
Check out casino for next day slot pull.
Check out spa for any specials (won a free acupuncture session once).
When rooms ready, check out room. If luggage arrives, unpack.
Muster drill.
Sailaway (try out specialty drinks). We're on our way!!!! (2 weeks).

We may have to take B2B 7 day cruises and find a ship with different itineraries. There is something cool about watching the passengers depart cruise #1 knowing you get to stay another week.

I found some of the 10" cubes at the dollar store. A little smaller but they worked well.

What is the 'Blue Bus'? Is it the same as the shuttle?

The last I heard they had a policy that if you were on the Classic package and wanted to get a premium drink, you only had to pay the cost difference between the two (premium cost - classic cost). If I wanted to try a drink or two from the premium package, this would be the way I would do it instead of paying the $10/day to upgrade.

I didn't think we were big drinkers -- until we got a bill at the end of the cruise of over $1000. Yikes!!!
Learned not to order the specialty drinks with the glass all the time.
Since then, we get the classic package. It is worth it for Café Bacchio alone. We love the coffee drinks and will have 2-3/day. (At home I don't drink Starbucks or Caribou but on the ship - yum).
DH doesn't like to experiment with wine, but this next cruise I will since I will only have to pay the difference
in price.
I'm sure we get more than our money's worth with the classic package.
Next cruise < 60 days away.

Thanks for the suggestions. Totally agree about finding a machine with lots of space.

I have volunteered to organize our cruise's slot-pull on the Millenium. I have only participated in slot-pulls on S-Class ships where we used $3.00/pull Wheel of Fortune machines. Both times we almost broke even.
I am not familiar with slot machines. Does anyone have recommendations on which machine would be fun to use for our activity? We'd like to keep it at the $3/pull range.
Thanks for your help.

My dilemma when booking onboard for the next cruise is that it must be transferred to a TA within 3 months if you have a TA you want to handle the cruise. My TA has some terrific deals during the course of the year. These exceptional times may not fall within the required timeframe resulting in fewer perks than if I had booked with the
TA originally.

Some people object to the squawking of walkee talkees. DH and I have used them to keep in touch. We set up a schedule (hourly) to turn them on in and let the other know where/what we're doing incase they want to join. Then turn them off to so they don't bother anyone else.

I can't emphasize enough how useful the roll calls are. If your roll call is not very active, visit other rolls calls for your same cruise but different dates. You'll still pick up a lot of useful information about excursions, about the ship, secrets shared, etc. Then if your roll call picks up, you'll have a bunch of stuff to share with your fellow cruisers. If not, you'll save a bunch on shore excursions. (We only use ship excursions if the timeframe window is short and getting back to the ship on time could be an issue). Be late from an excursion booked on the ship and they will wait for you. Be late from a private excursion, and the ship won't wait. (probably)
Enjoy your cruise - 11 years is too long.

Yes, Indeedy. I wave may magic wand and -- ping -- you are a Moscow mule.
(Definitely need a cruise).

Check out beach massages by locals. A fraction of the cost of a ship massage and soooo nice.

A lot of the hotels on the strip have spas. Get a massage, do a little shopping, get some rum cake then go back to the ship before the tender line gets long. They will greet you with a cold towel as you get back on the ship.
Always love Cayman Island.

I booked a cruise a year before sailing. The 25 points weren't due until after I got back.
I had to call Celebrity several times to get the bonus points. They either didn't have the date of my
initial booking or lost track of the promotion. I did have an email from booking time that showed the
date of the booking and the promotion, so I eventually got the points. I was eager because those points
put me over the 300 point level into Elite.

Is this 'difference' charge only for items that were on the Classic package and have been moved to Premium?
(Example) If a drink had never been available on the Classic Package (say a special martini), the person on the Classic package would have to pay full price. Right? Because the difference between the cost of the drink and the Classic cost (0) would be the entire cost of the drink.
Melissa
(Never mind - read a few more and I get it now. $9 as the base, anything more is surcharge with tip on the surcharge.

On the M class ships, where is the Thallosotherapy Pool? Is it part of Persian Gardens?

I bought 3 card on the Apex for Feb. Sailing. As I understand it, all 3 cards must be played for one two-game session. Can I prepay for another set of cards which can be used for another session later in the cruise?
