I made a mistake ... okay, I get it. My cruise starts next week during HANUKKAH! Does Princess have the traditional foods, can I bring an electric menorah, will it just be Christmas? Air quality here is 288 so I'm going to get clean air but will I miss holidays?
Hi Ombud, this is absolutely nothing to do with your cruise I am just interested how you cameby 'Ombud' as your handle. A good friend of ours actually comes from that town (he is a survivor)

You certainly do, if you have a new passport with different number.
If you have a new passport with a new number you have to get a new ESTA
-
Where did you embark the cruise?Do you disembark in Victoria? and presume you are flying back to U.K. from Canada in which case I think it would be prudent to obtain a Canadian ETA . An y other comments

Hi! Alsun and everyone on this cruise.
Am enjoying your live thread although only discovered it today. We have some very good friends on this cruise andhope they are enjoying it as much as you seem to be

Not going on a cruise but flying to Boston to visit our kids. Stayed at Heathrow Airport hotelnight before because of early flight.Driver dropped us off got room sorted booked table for dinner. Husband opens carry, no insulin. We live about 2 hours from airport expensive car journey home and back retrieved insulin which had fallen into bath tub. Moral of story check items off when actually packed.

We had a friend who worked hard all his life, rarely left the province for a vacation, and saved up so he and his wife could take a driving vacation to Alaska in their retirement. Meanwhile, we would save up money for a trip, take it, have wonderful memories, and endure his well intentioned ribbing when we got home, saying we were wasting our retirement funds. Sadly, our friend retired and less than a year later, succumbed to cancer, never having made that trip to Alaska; a year after that, his wife died. While he was in hospital, he said "I'm glad you guys went where you did; keep on travelling together - look at me, I never went anywhere, and certainly won't now." Lesson learned. We think of him, and raise our glasses to him with every trip we take.
Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
Amen to that we had a close friend die in her early 50's to cancer, she did live life to the full but another couple we were very close with worked without holidays waiting for retirement she got MS and even a cruise we went on together was a waste on them they did not get off the ship. Sadly she died 4 years ago with neither of them reaping retirement perks

Still no luck with trying to get my husbands account set up:( so much for being fixed in a few days

Hi Boobasimcha,
I had the same problem and eventually found the email verifying my account in my Junk mail. Really don't why as every other email I receive from P & O goes to my inbox. Hope this helps.
Janine
Thanks for trying to help. That was the first thing I did look in the junk mail and I keep looking.
-
When I called P & O they said there were some problems with some people and getting their emails. I think that must be nearly 2 weeks ago the operator said should get the email in a few days. Hahahahah and I though Celebrity's web site was pants we are off next week
-
You have to have separate email addresses for each person.
Both of ours are up and running fine.
Yes I know that

Been on P & O website to register for my account for both Hubby and me mine has wowrked O.K. but with hubby's still have not received email to verify account if I try to re-register is says email already exists but still no email to either verify account or to change password. Any words of wisdom or help out there please?

We are on similar cruise in September and am interested to look at your posts.

Easy to confirm at http://www.worldometers.info/geography/how-many-countries-are-there-in-the-world/:
There are 195 countries in the world today. This total comprises 193 countries that are member states of the United Nations and 2 countries that are non-member observer states: the Holy See and the State of Palestine.
No such place as the state of Palestine

As I said conflicting advice looking on websites bit confusing. Boots travel clinic days we need YF whereas our surgery clinic says not but trying to get us to have Rabies vaccine. More confused than ever. Meanwhile going through process of having course of MMR and other childhood vaccines which were not around when we were kids (72 & 69 now) Perplexed of U.K.
-
Thanks for all that. The last thing we want is to be refused entry to one of the ports as a previous port has a risk of YF and we need a certificate to get in.
-
Does anyone know what vaccinations are needed for a cruise starting in Florida then visiting Colomba (Cartagena) Panama (Colon) Costa Rica (Puntarenas) Guatamala (Puerto Quetzel) Mexico (PuertoVallarta & Cabo SaLucas) we have confilcting information on Yellow Fever
Any responses would be helpful Thanks Joy & Eric

I am glad we were able to see the Corning Hot Glass Show on the Eclipse on 4 or 5 cruises and I was even lucky enough to win a piece at a raffle on our first cruise. Also shame the Eclipse is not sailing out of Southampton any more
-
What bugs us is when the main public lounge with the best views is commandered for some private function
-
Hi! KEITH1010 Your photos certaily whet the appetite. We are staying at DREAMS South Beach for 2 nights before our Panama Canal cruise out of Fort Lauderdale in September. I that anywhere near your suggested route.

\Sorry, should have said www.Celebrityonetouch.com. That is the web site. Better still , call the Captain's Club as stated. No problems with a phone call
Pat C
Have tried that URL and get a message cant connect to that site. Do you have a number for Captain's Club (U.K.)
Ta!

We always enjoyed the Corning Hot Glass shows, sometimes it was the only good entertainment on board Eclipse, now Celebrity want to turn it into another money making stunt
-
Call Celebrity one touch. I did ours last week then friends wanted to join us so they did theirs separately. We got the e-mail with the entire 14 nights booked but then I checked with One Touch and the agent was wonderful. She linked our reservations so now we are all set. On Eclipse they do have the 2 lines. If you do not dine there on any night just let the maitre' d' know and they appreciate it.
As a tip. We don't go on the first night. We take advantage of the specials for the first night to avoid the chaos of the MDR. People don't know what to do, and it's just confusing until around night 2 or 3. Then we have had no issues at all.
Pat C
Excuse my ignorance what is Celebrity Onetouch. Is that just something for you U.S. cruisers or can your poor cousins over the Pond in the U.K. utilise this
