We have stayed at the Principe twice and loved it. It is only a block or two from the station. A very good breakfast is included with seating overlooking the Grand Canal.

I have stayed at the Cesari and found it very good. Even better is the Senato a couple of blocks away next to the Pantheon.

Don't miss Babington's tea room for lunch.

We have used Walks of Italy twice - both were very good. For the Colosseum I recommend their VIP tour. It's easy to book on line.
