Following. Sorry for your bad experience.

Thanks for the responses. We are just staying one night on 4/23 prior to a cruise. Not planning on any sight seeing since we have been to Boston before. We think we might try embassy suites at the airport since we are familiar with the chain. We may have waited too late since I understand that is the weekend of the marathon.

Can anyone recommend a hotel pre-cruise in Boston. Would like one with free shuttle to the ship and maybe a complimentary breakfast. Thanks. :)

We received our FFCs today. I live in Texas so I guess everyone will get theirs soon.

Nothing yet. Hope it wasn't false information.

Thanks for the information. Patience has never been my strong suit.

Thanks for the reply. I kind of lost count. Seems longer than five weeks. I'm waiting to look at my next cruise until I see if I get this

Just curious if anyone on the October 2014 westbound TA has received the 20% credit that RCCI promised for all the problems on that cruise.

I too was on the Oasis westbound TA and just received an e mail from RCCL saying I would receive a certificate for 20% off my next cruise due to all the problems on the Oasis TA. My faith in RCCL is restored.

When we were on the Oasis two years ago we bought the DVD and along with our pictures were a few shots of another family. Their little girl looked a little like our granddaughter but the rest of us were not even close. Facial recognition anyone?

We are booked on the Oasis westbound TA and have been told that Oasis will implement dynamic dining in March 2015. I'm not happy about it but willing to give it a chance since it appears we may have no choice. I do really enjoy the main dining room and meeting new people at dinner. I have been loyal to RCCL for 30 plus years and really don't want to change but sometimes I feel all the old traditions that so enjoy about cruising will soon all be gone. It's sad.

Just found your review. Following and enjoying. We are doing the TA westward on the Oasis. We sailed her a couple of years ago but with grandkids so this time we are looking forward to all the adult activities. Thanks for the review.

one thing I have always liked about cruising is the total relaxation of having things taken care of once you get on board. No packing and unpacking. No needing to decide what you will do before hand. Just opting each day how much or how little you want to do. It is nice to know that you have an assigned table at an assigned time and if you choose to skip eating there that is ok too. I really didn't like having to pre book shows on the Oasis but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be so maybe DD will be ok too. I'm open to trying it but I do like the way things are. Change us inevitable but if it ain't broke, why mess with it!
What Was Royal Caribbean Like Back in the Day?

our first cruise our son was 8years old and he will be 41 this September. Things were wonderful. The best food I ever had in my life. We were treated like royalty. We joked that the steward must be hiding under the bed because every time we left the cabin it was cleaned. We always had ice. Didn't need to ask for it. I remember the fruit and fresh flowers. We had pens paper and playing cards. I am glad I got to experience cruising when it was so special. I still love cruising but there have been lots of changes. I think the cruise employees are the best in the world and they still try to make it the best experience even though they have to work so hard with more and more responsibilities.
