I’ll be trip before you. Second time on Jewel. My first Australia/NZ tour on NCL. As Jewel is fairly new to Australia (as is NCL) I anticipate a few adjustments to ship due to Summer and more Sea days is challange. Most complaints I have seen were really light and not a ship wide complaint. If past is guide I expect a wonderful cruise with good food and wines. I hope they use lots of Australian and New Zealand wines which I love, less California stuff. I take hamf the complaints I hear with grain of salt. I am low salt user and NCL will observe if you mention to waiter your need. Never had discourtious crew.... sometimes a little different as attitudes in downunder are not same as USA. Look for lite humor and hard work from crew. Hope I am right!

I’m scheduled to cruise on Jewel Jan 21 out of Sydney on 10 cruise ( will end at Auckland N Z ) Second cruise on Jewel, First cruise in Australia- been there about 20 times before for business. Cruise is Sydney/Goolie/Tasmania (wife really wanted as loves cartoon “Taz” ( a bugs bunny nemisis)) Hey, its vacation.❤️[emoji16]... Then on to New Zealand, north and south islands, lots of Moiri and “hobbit” places. NCL has treated us well and so we are taking them. Ship cost and location were what we wanted

I don’t know if there is a list, but all charges on board will be USD., convert at current exchange rate for Australian Dollars used on a card with foreign exchange rate. Fun, eh?

on different cruise next month, differt ship, however; I booked both my platinum benifits but I did use the number on line (excursion number) and they put on with times and date, no charges on bill and I’mready to go.

There is no charge to use iconcierge on ship. It’s more like a daily guide onboard.

your ship card is used for everything on board, even items not charged to your account. If no costs involved it still records you at event, drink bought, activity fees. It only shows on your account if you pay for something. If account accidently does show a non charge amount, you may dispute at customer desk.

don’t hold your breath. whatever you bid may be accepted or denyed up to two days prior to trip. However, higher the bid, higher the chance. Spend what you are willing and just go on with what you have now. They’ll let you know if accepted, no way to tell where you are in line of bidders, if any.

The tastings are not part of the drink package. Order a drink, use card to package, Go to tasting, use card for fee as not individual drink.

If worried I would check the forum on CC and see if some fellow critics are planning a trip outside the cruise line. Norwegians guaretee is ok but so are most side arangements done thru CC. My last trip norwegian cancelled some trips at late( day before) due to not enough peolle signing up. Refund only if other tours full.
