  1. Just now, kokopelli-az said:

It was 70E.   But we had a van (holds up to 7 people).    It is less for their Mercedes E Class vehicle.

    Thanks, I also messaged them.

    It is 60e for a E-Class or $120e for S Class.

    $80e for a Mercedes Van.

  2. Hello everyone,

Want to confirm if anyone had experience with this.

My wife's first name on her Passport is Mary Susan Joy (just let's say) and Last name is Smith.

But on the Cruise ticket, They put First name as Mary, Middle name (optional) Susan Joy, Last name is Smith.

I inquire with the Travel agent through who we booked our flight and cruise ticket, he explained that there is no enough space to put my wife's whole Mary Susan Joy on it. That's why he just out Mary as First name and Susan Joy as middle name.

Would that be OK if she check in at the cruise?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. I just came back from Rhapsody and yes there is not much as a big entertainment in the ship.

There is Rock climbing if you are interested. A ping pong table. 2 pools (one is outdoor and one is indoor)

The gym is really small, even the Casino is small from what I expected.

Other than that, they aren't really anything WOW to offer at Rhapsody. We took it because we want to visit those ports and the ship fits our schedule. I would love to sail with Harmony, Allure, Symphony (available next year).

  4. OP, I was in the Rhapsody struck in the ship due to fog. The cruise captain said the port was closed.

We were unable to get off until 4ish. Our plan was to visit Venice on OCT 14 and fly back home on OCT 15.

Because of the delay, we couldn't go anywhere for long after we got off from the cruise.

I see you guys are also struck on the port, hoping to get in. We are also frustrated as much as you are. A lot of people on the ship have a flight right after and need to call the airline to re-arrange their departure.

  5. Came back from the cruise.

So arrived at FLL, I went check out the Go counter outside.

It was around 2-3pm in the afternoon. Shared Van is $30pp or $80 private car. I see the van is parked and few people waiting outside at the sitting bench, look like they need to fill out the van before departing to DT MIA.

It was hot out there, so my gf and I decide to just take the private car and leave right away. It was a Lincolin Towncar, tipped extra $10 at arrival of my Miami Hotel. So $90 in total, not the cheapest option but we did arrive to the hotel from FLL within 30 minutes and extra comfort in the Lincolin Towncar with AC tuned on for us at the moment we step in the car.

Not sure how long is the wait and drop off time with the Go Shuttle shared van.

So it is the comparison between spending extra $ for time and comfort versus the most cost efficient option.

  6. There are tons of attractions to visit with NY pass. Skip the museums if that's not on your interest list.

Take the cab if you need to go from 1 place to another, it is not expensive at all. Cost me less than $10 tip included from Times Square to Pier 39 for NY Water Taxi. Less walking and save more energy for the day. :D

  7. I'm at the same boat as OP.

Flying to FLL (much cheaper flight than to MIA), booked a hotel a DT MIA because I want to explorer a bit of the city before the cruise next day (never been to MIA).

I read few thread and will probably cab it for $80 for the convenience. No wait time to pick up passenger and drop off and the trip is about 40 min. Go is about $69-79 for 2 and possible 2 hrs to arrive to my hotel.

I don't see where is $15/pp for airport pick up and drop a MIA DT hotels...

  8. City pass is only good if you want to visit those particular attractions only.

I get myself the New York Pass, not city pass and don't get confuse.

It allows you to visit any 80+ attractions available around NYC, even some in Brooklyn.

Best tactic is go visit the attractions on 1 area, don't waste time to commute from 1 place to another. Plan ahead which place you want to visit in a day.

I bought the 3 days pass and went to $250+ worth of places in admission.

Top of the Rock, MoMA, ESB, New York Water Taxi, Madame Mussades, some Tours (Tours are interesting but don't do it if you don't have much time to spend) and also Intrepid Air, Space Museum.

So Top of the Rock, Rockfeller Center, MoMa, Times Square are in 1 area which I will spend there in Day 1

Day 2, I took the City Sighting bus down to ESB and skyrider (skyride is waste of time), then jump back on the bus to go down to 911 memorial (not includes in NY pass), but Itook tons of photo outside. Wall Street, NYPD museum, etc...

Day 3, I took the Water taxi down, tooks tons of photo in front of statue of liberty and back at pier and walk up to visit the Intrepid Air and space museum.

Not to mention, the NY pass gives you $10 off at Planet Hollywood and some savings at other restaurants in town.

I recommend New York Pass, you just have to do your homework, plan accordingly to maximize the value or your New York Pass.

I was there at the July 4 wk-end....ESB are very crowded.

Advice is to head out very early at the opening and get to the front of the line.

  9. I'm going for the same route, but arriving in afternoon.

I quoted a few, most shared shuttle is from $69 to $79. Some incl gratuities, some may not.

I read some review and see some horrible review with Go about the driver blame on you for being ew minutes later at the waiting area, rude or long waiting time for other passengers before they depart.

Time is also a concern, ETA from FLL to Miami DT is 2 hours?

We are travelers and want to use our time aboard to explorer, I quote cab fare and it vary from $69 to 80ish tips incl.

I'm thinking this might be a better option for 2 passengers or more?

The extra $10 for 2 person is worth it to save an hour to commute.

Please share if other has better ideas or more accurate on those quote I researched.

    Thank you.
