  1. Thank you for your reply Bob

We have never sailed on the vision class, so if you can hel me with some more info about this ships that would be very helpfull.

Especially the cruise in Dubai with Splendour on new year's eve.

Only sailed on the bigger ships and we heard that the smaller ships are a different experience in cruising.

  2. Hi,

We (my husband and myself, mid 40's) are sailing on the Splendour on the 28th december.

This will be our 4th cruise with Royal (Independence, Freedom, Adventure), and we booked 1 in may, Vision and a B2B2B for summer 2016 on the Anthem.

Sailed with carnival, Norwegian en Holland America Line, but love Royal.

This will be the first time on a smaller ship.

We openminded and know that the Splendour and Vision are a different experiences, but can anybody tell me what to expect and what the difference is?

We are looking forward to new year's eve on the ship and have a great evening/party.

    Thank you in advance.

    :)

  3. Hi,

We did a back to back cruise with the AotS starting on august 8th.

This was our 3rd and 4th cruise with RC, and we love it. We also sailed on HAL, Carnival and Norwegian but RC is our favorite. We also booked an cruise for Dubai for Newyears and looking forward to that. We also booked for next year doing an B2B2B on the Harmony otS for next summer.

We booked a balcony on the 8th floor, mid ship. We mostly book inside cabins but this time we went for a balcony. We didn't use the balcony that much so we're doing the inside cabin in the future cruises. We don't mind that it's dark (my husband can't sleep with any light coming in to the room, hihi). So an inside cabin works for us.

We had the late seating for diner in the MDR, we didn't go to the windjammer for dinner because we thought the food with lunch was fine but nothing special. And we like to sit down and enjoy being served and chat with our table mates. The only commend we have is that there are only 2 choices, expect for JR an Giovanni's, for diner. That is our opinion. The ship in pretty good condition but if you look a little longer and better you'll see that the ship has a little spots what shows her age. But overal, it's a fine ship!

We bought the beverage package for us, it worked out fine for us. The bartenders knew what we liked at the end of the cruise and as soon as they spotted us, our drinks were made and served! We mainly spend our time in the Lobby bar, casino bar and the Blue moon bar. There we met some lovely people and the bartenders where excellent!

We went to the first M&M but didn't care much for it, so we left very soon after Dan Dan left. The second m&m, we never went, sorry.

We had the most wonderful vacation, met some very lovely people from the US, UK, Netherlands and from Scotland, we had a blast!

    Ciao

    Esther and Ron
