Not that this is a life or death matter but each room door area is just a little bit (certainly large enough for a tray) bigger than the door itself. Setting it out, lets the steward know when you're finished, especially if you are staying in the cabin while the stewards are out cleaning but you don't want them to disturb your activities. To those mentioning wheelchairs getting thru, I seen very few wheelchairs on board AND I think the stewards carts that are in the hallways, would be a much bigger obstacle.

I'll keep your secret too. We actually are sailing a do-over in December 2016. Still over 200 days to wait, so each week while I grocery shop ( Krogers if you have them ) I buy a Carnival gift card for us. This way, we save up cash to spend, the actual cash is not there to tempt. Plus we get Kroger points that can be used to get discounted gas prices. Hoping this time around that the weather is a bit warmer and the seas a bit calmer. Have fun and enjoy your trip when it comes around.

Door and walls are metal too, so if you need extra hooks to hang jackets, wet bathing suits, etc. you can buy magnetic hooks at hardware and stick them anywhere needed. I find that the two hooks in the room are at a premium when we've got jackets, hats and wet suits. Just an idea for you.

We were on MSC Divina in 2014 at that time the drink packages were a great deal. You got coupons for them and all drinks that you mentioned were covered. You could even get beer packages that were cheaper than the mixed drink package. I liked it much better than Carnivals per day package, as some days when your hanging out at the pool you may want to drink and can use them, but days your in port the package is not wasted. You can use them either with a server or walk up to the bar. There is a tip included in the coupon, but if you chip in a buck, it got me a very good drink!

The MSC Divina does not have an indoor pool. But they have great pools, including an adult infinity pool at the back of the ship. :)

We've done it both ways, and after the first time we pre-tipped, I noticed our room steward made sure to remember our names, said good morning, and joked with us when we told him about funny things happening to us. A fellow passenger was complaining that she never saw her steward, but I think ours lived under our bed. Room was cleaned before we got back from getting coffee! :)

It is how Carnival ship line started out. How about a Go Fund Me page?? :-)

It's under excursions, port city where you leave from. IF it's available, sells out fast fast fast.

We're sailing on the Glory Dec 3rd to same ports you mention, would love to hear about your cruise and adventures. How do I catch your next installment? Looking for ward to hearing just which port it was that you had to go to that you booked this cruise for!

Even thro we're 9 months out still (Dec 3rd sailing on Glory) the FTTF is sold out already. :-( How far out did you have to purchase ?

We were just on a Carnival cruise 10 weeks ago and the $15. fee for wash and fold was still correct. Have not heard of an unlimited service but maybe someone else does?

Unless you are bringing two dozen dresses and shirts, you do not have to bring your own hangers. Most staterooms have three closets and each has appox 10 hangers in it.

Heading down Carribean way on Dec. 3rd aboard Carnival Glory, anyone else on board?

I like classic dining myself. Having the same folks at my table, hashing over the days events. We've made friends in the past that we kept in touch with and cruised with again even. On the other hand, if you get bad dining partners, it can be uncomfortable. Each to their own choosing, but I hope they keep classic dining for those of us that like it.

We just did the Jaguar Cave tubing and it was a little bit boring. It did get very dark and was cool when everyone turned off their headlamps. But if you want fish and sunlight, go for the snorkling . Plus it was a LONG drive just to get there.

Absolutely, we were surprised (there's only two of us) that while we had bed moved together to be a king, there was a trundle bed under the sofa!
