There are no auto-gratuities for passengers who book through an Australian travel agent. People who book in USA or the UK have the auto-tips added to their account daily. However, they can remove them if they wish and they need not feel guilty doing so. The crew are paid at a much higher rate than on ships where the auto-gratuity applies.:)

We booked our trip for Australia in the USA, can we request to have gratuities removed and if so how? Not trying to be tight but if they ( Aussies) are paid more,,,,

We are interested in a Panama Canal Cruise in Jan. We love the Caribe deck and there is a cabin C312 which has an even bigger balcony , but concerned as its close to lifts. Anyone experience this location before- think it'll be noisy?

We will be leaving for Europe on May 16th but don't cruise until May 31st out of Barcelona on the Celebrity Equinox. We will be traveling light and don't want to lug around a couple bottles of wine and our fancy clothes for 2 weeks.

 

Is it possible to send things to the cruise ship ahead of time?

I am thinking to help offset your 'load', how about buying wine in Europe? It'll help a little

Great room! Quiet, far from elevators and laundry, far enough so no noise, but close walk.

Has anyone ordered from RoseWholesale? They are located in China and do have some cute dresses for cheap. I was specifically interested in how their sizing compares.

A gal pal orders swimsuits from China. Very slow in delivery, but sizing is quite small! She orders a size larger and they are still a bit smug. Remember, the girls/ guys are built different than Americans. Otherwise, she likes the clothing

I agree, 30-60 minutes and you lost your lease! This Jan while in Mexico ( same problem w/palapas on beach) I reserved 4 chairs as friends were joining me in 10 min. I ran to bar, came back & my table by lounger was gone. Saw it at another lounger ( unoccupied) & I grabbed it. An older man who was saving loungers yelled at me saying it was his friends. I said 'funny, I had one just like it 10 minutes ago, and i followed the trail in the sand to it where it mysteriously disappeared!' He said no more!!!

I am trying to call the upsell number for the first time.. I got a message at first that I could hold or leave a message and now its been ringing and ringing for almost 10 minutes, is this normal? I assume its busy being Monday and I should just wait?

Please explain an upsale - I imagine an upgrade? New to the lingo!

I have seen on cruises where elderly men have much younger 'attendants' some of which are home health aides. The elderly bring them along for care, but I have seen some what I would say 'girlfriends' w/ much older guys where you just know he is telling his wife he's on a 'business trip'. Lol

I've always received the benefit on Carnival and we are soon traveling on our first Princess cruise since we've had the stock. The benefits say "Employees,travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer."

 

Does that mean if I received reduced pricing from my travel agent, that I don't get the onboard credit? I need to book this right away, so I appreciate anyone who knows this answer.

We too just bought shares, and booked at a reduced rate months ago and we got our full OBC it really is a good deal and we have already made $100.00!!

Ok we are cruising on Grand Princess in Feb. we are 'gold' so I'm sure no upgrades, but we are cabin 223 on Caribe. Will we have any shade and can above decks look down on us?

I booked with a TA thru Costco ( good deals) and did receive not only a discount after final payment, but when TA called Princess to inquire about price drop they said they could 'upgrade' us only. The following week TA called to say Princess was giving us OBC and discount

as we were 'upgraded'. I was quite pleased to say the least.

Thanks for the info! I see there is no Dark & Stormy rum drink listed though. Bar package not worth it.
