For many of the reasons that Kazu and others mentioned we also find the Prinsendam to be a wonderful Ship and would sail her again in a heartbeat! :)

 

Both of our Sailings we stayed in a Signature Suite which we really enjoyed! We have friends that we have sailed with in both the "older" Vista Suites and the "New" Vista Suites. After seeing both we would avoid the "newer" ones. The "newer" VS's are a different configuration (I believe Halfacts has some pics where you can see the difference). They have a low, loveseat (no arms if I remember correctly) which is probably equal to 1 1/2 times the size of a regular chair where the "older" VS's have a full loveseat (with arms). The "newer" ones also have the bed by the Sliding Glass Door. The "older" VS's has the Seating area by the Sliding Glass door. We thought the Seating area in the "older" VS's was much nicer!

What were the cabins like. We booked a vista suite

I'm a former partner of an online cruise travel agency so I can tell you first hand, if you are paying any money directly to your TA, you're paying more than necessary. Some agencies do charge fees or surcharges on top of the cruise price, but this is not common. In fact, many have stopped doing so because it's so rare nowadays. Your TA gets paid when the cruise line cuts them their commission check. Period. Your TA cannot reduce the final amount to the cruise line to cover their commission.

The deposit was $442. I knew 24 EA was a service fee. When I checked my credit card there were 2 credits 200.00 HAL and 242.00 to the online agency. Did u ever have a situation like this and have to call the passenger 6 days later to tell them they are canceled because the price was not correct and ran for 2 days. You can keep the reservation. If you pay an add 6000. And HAL is willing to throw in a dine around pkg

The ta ran the ad on line for 2 days for sure I had 24hr hold. Deposit made to ta but my credit card has 2 separate entries one to HAL and 2 to ta

Have you gone on the HAL website to check your cabin price. Could be the TA and not HAL. For a 6000 dollar increase you must be in a owners suite.

This wad a special holiday dale so the price woukdnt be the same. The sale ran 3 days its hard to believe it took 9 days for HAL to realize the problem. I wish I really knew what the story is.

I think in your case there was no exchange of money or a contract. Holland America took my deposit 7 days ago. And i have a booking #

I booked a cruise with an online company for a Holland America Cruise. I paid deposit have an invoice with online co confirm # and Holland America booking #, my cabin ,dining preference total cost arrangements for remaining Bal. Today 8 days layer I get a call from online company stating cruise line is going to cancel my booking unless I pay $6000 more.Holland posted the price incorrectly in their advertisement. What

We did the holiday cruise on the Prinsendam last year. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Any specific questions I might be able to help answer?

We booked a balcony for the first time on the upper prom deck #146 . the price was right and the ports look great. Did u visit the same ports? I read such bad reviews about this ship I cent believe HALL wouldn't keep up their standards. I am a little leery of the size. Were the waters calmish?

Booked a guarantee inside (my first time booking a guarantee) for 12/13/2014 in August. Just got my cabin assignment = The absolute, and I mean absolute, WORST cabin on the ship

Guess I'll bring my pillow and blanket and sleep on the deck.
