  1. I'm going on my first cruise in about 12 days (HELL YEAH)! I'm so excited and so confident i'm going to like my mini vacation that I am already planning my getaway for next year. And i'm going all out (sorta). Straight to the Western Caribbean.

I'm still trying to decide between a cruise with Carnival out of Galveston or a cruise on NCL out of Miami. There are certainly pro's and cons to each and I haven't made up my mind.

My question is, I know traditionally, January - March are when the big lines usually have the best deals. Should I book one of these cruises now or should I wait until at least January or February to see if prices drop some? Would it rally make a difference this far out or perhaps the only additions would be offers like onboard credit, upgrades, etc? Any of you Vets have any advice here?

I should also mention i'm cruising SOLO and I wonder if that would affect my decision as far as saving money.

Thank you as always CC surfers!

Book now get the early booking special a great cabin and call in every 60 days (or when you see sales on this itinerary set up Internet search ) ask for any upgrades and discounts

  2. Remember things like razors meds charges and multi plug multi sub plug in, all walls are magnetic so bring strong magnets to hang up itineraries Dailey plan sheets and ship map. I also bring magnets from my town to leave a note for NW friends and for them to ID my cabin easie. You can also bring clothes line clips to hang your wet stuff to dry in shower on pull out clothes line . A night light for in bathroom makes not stubbing your toe much easier at night as there is a lip into bathroom. Your favourite fabreeze from home may make kids feel more comfy at night. Though you will never see the kids any other time than bed and supper lol they even skip dessert if it's not on time. Order the kids dessert to come with meal. Remember to tell the head of restaurants about allergies and intolerance before cruise same goes if there is a bleach allergy etc so they watch cleaners used in rooms.

  3. We were just cruising the western carribea not of New Orleans and all drinks and cocktails under I think it was 10 were included wine by glass too but no fresh juices from juice bar or specialty coffees or energy drinks were included . There was still a lot to drink and many amazing cocktails to try
