meant to say 'avoid' any of the above!
-
I'll see if any of the blocks 13195 to 13221 and 13196 to 13220 are available as a free change otherwise will put my hand in my pocket!
Should I above any of the above? e.g. metal balcony!
-
So the price has increased to an extra £618 for the B3/Aurea!
Big difference and the main attraction of the Aurea package for me is the drinks (~£200)? So thats £400 extra to avoid potential noise in one of the aft B2s (if available)...
Decision time.

Last question (for now):
the aft Deck 13 cabins (13195 to 13221 and 13196 to 13220) - guess the location may be noisy? Otherwise OK??
-
Fantastic.
Will let you know how I get on tomorrow!
-
;).
Yeah my bad, I had only focussed on the deepest part of the Deck 14 overhang!
I suspect YC may be too much of a stretch on this occasion :( and as my first cruise experience I don't want to set the level too high!!
Appreciate your help.

This will help with my conversation tomorrow and hopefully will be included - as I was certainly going to purchase the Drinks package anyway (which I think would have cost around £200)!
Cheers.

...yes, UK.
-
Yes, I'm expecting an email response from the agent but will call them tomorrow as I also originally thought that the B3 translated into the Aurea package - if so that will definitely justify the extra £340!
Thanks.
-
Ah - yes. I see what you mean!
Thanks for the evidence. I guess I'll pay the extra £340 for B3 you recommended then as don't see the point in having a balcony that's in the shade as kinda defeats the object...
Will I get any other benefit other than a better location?
-
Thanks to all.
Don't believe 13113 is affected by Deck 14 overhang but accept there maybe noise from above!
-
OK, so have a decision to make on my Divina package:
Currently have 13085 (B2) booked but am able to swap to 13113 - which guess is a no brainier?
Alternatively I can upgrade to a B3 (13032, 13033, 13036, 13043, 13045, 1304)?
Comments would be welcome and if I go for the B3 upgrade which cabin would you suggest?
Many thanks.
-
OK thanks.
Yes agree it's about establishing the value which also includes the stateroom (and its position on deck etc).
-
OK I understand.
Appreciate your advice particularly as a first time cruiser.
Many thanks.
-
Considering upgrading my existing booking to Aurea - any views on the benefits and associated costs, e.g. Drinks package?
-
Thanks!
You've obviously had a bad experience with Deck 13!
Assume because of noise and deck 14 overhang.
I'm looking to upgrade to a B3 on Deck 13 as the noise doesn't worry me.
Thanks again.
-
Thanks.
So i'm looking at potentially changing/upgrading:
13067, 13069 and 13071 are more forward options which are not connecting cabins but will have the same overhang issues!
13113 to 13127 I guess would be a better option?
Ultimately 13001 to 13047 - but assume B3/Aurea and hence big bucks!!
Comments/views would be much appreciated.

Many thanks for your response.
The categorisation is really confusing (particularly as a first time cruiser)!
I booked a Balcony at the 'Fantastica' category and have been allocated what appears to be a B2 (13085) but the booking advice note says Cabin Category B3 (which I thought translates to 'Aurea')!
To add to the confusion, are the categories of Cat 12 etc...
I guess, I should contact the Agent to check as if I do have a B3 this may translate to the Aurea 'package' and affect my decision on buying the drinks package (wishful thinking);).
More importantly, I can see that my cabin is directly below the Deck 14 overhang:( - will I get any sun?
-
Little confused - have been allocated 13085 on the MSC Divina which appears to be a B2 category from the deck plans but my booking says B3 as the cabin grade?
