  1. Carnival Inspiration will have a Dry Dock January 2016, and Imagination September 2016. Both will receive Red Frog, Guys, and most of the other 2.0 upgrades as well as upgrades to the stabilizers and repairs to the Lido decks. Info was given during a behind the fun tour from the captain of the Inspiration, and carnival booking availability confirms the 2.5 week dry dock. Unfortunately there will not be a Steakhouse restaurant added.

  2. You could do both, - the mazes at the queen mary. I think you can do the haunted tour and historical tour during the day. Knott's is a nighttime event. If you look online, there are some groupons and/or living social deals for QM. Knotts since it's Halloween night won't have a discount, but won't be outrageously crowded.

  3. Thank you to both of you.

I live in Northern Ca, I grew up in the bay area and have lived in the Sierras. I don't even own a jacket (other then my suite Jacket.) I'll bring a sweat shirt that I may or may not use. We know cold. :D

Lol Southern California. We don't have cold or rain so when it hits we overreact!

  4. They will give you all the hangers you ask for. The only problem I've had is some of the closets for some of the category's are there very small. If you are brining a coat for dinner and/or a coat for the evenings on deck (we will be sailing next week with you and it's going to be chilly in the evening) then the closet might not be able to hold all of it.

  5. What do you use to get back on the ship? I always take my passport with me when in ports.

I always carry mine in the ports. What happens if you miss the ship or something happens when your in that country! You would be stuck in a foreign country without a passport. It is much much harder to get home, or even into and embassy without it!

  6. As a spouse of an injured Vet who now only earned his stripes, he paid for it by becoming permanently disabled.

Shame on you for even thinking that it would be "cool" to wear a fake unearned uniform.

I'm very sorry to hear about you spouse, please let them know that I thank them for their service! And you are 100% correct!

  7. I think it might be fun to dress like an officer for a couple evenings on my next cruise. I am thinking of a white epaulette shirt, shoulder boards, white pants, white athletic shoes; maybe also a simple name tag. This is just to go to main dining room, casino, bars--no interest in trying to get in crew only areas. Any issues with pranking as a cruise ship officer?

    Its all about the fun.

Imitating an officer could and should get you thrown off. That is a rank on the ship, and could cause confusion. I don't think the captain would find it funny, and has the power to throw you off the boat, and or put you in the brig.

  8. Let me start by saying that I'm not the most romantic guy in the world, but I do try. Im taking my wife on a cruise aboard the Inspiration at the end of the month and have gone above and beyond making this cruise romantic and special for her. It got me thinking that this would be a good time for this question...What is your favorite romantic thing to do while on a cruise!

  9. We are celebrating my wife's birthday on our 4 day Inspiration cruise in a few weeks, and I want to sneak (From my wife, not carnival) a really nice bottle of champagne on board for after the Elegant Night. Will my steward ice the bottle of champagne, and bring 2 champagne glasses for me? I'm also ordering chocolate covered strawberry's for that night. I want it to be a little surprise for my wife when we get back.
