  1. My partner and I drove to Goulburn from Melbourne and stayed the night there. Next day drove to blu emu parking at Sydney airport. We ordered an uber that picked us up from the car park (thus bypassing the courtesy bus ) and drove us to the port.

We hadn't thought of staying at Goulburn, would reduce the amount of travel from Gippsland. Thanks heaps it is great idea!

  2. We usually stay at holiday inn near the airport, the free stay and eat for kids works well for us andw e can usually watch for an advanced purchase deal.

Parking - I know they have some on site and sometimes they have 'park and fly' packages with a few nights free parking. Without that parking is around $20/night.

Rydges often has stay and park deals too, more expensive and the room layout is a bit odd but it's new and nice, too.

  3. We (group of 7) are booked on a New Years Eve cruise leaving from Sydney. We are driving to Sydney from Victoria the day before boarding and are planning to stay and park at the airport and then catch the ship shuttle to the terminal. Looking for recommendations for airport accommodation and parking options. Thanks in advance.

  4. Thank you Norris for sharing your journey with us. Italy has been on my bucket list for a while and you have made me even more determined to get there one day :-)

I have also spent a couple of wet Australian weekends catching up on your other adventures and appreciate the detail you include so that new cruisers like myself (Dawn Princess January 2015 to NZ) have an inkling what to expect and more importantly what to look forward to!

Happy cruising and I'm looking forward to reading about your next adventure in February :-)
