I’m in the UK. I used the link on the Celebrity Facebook page to send a message. I had a response within a few hours and the responder took my reservation details and moved our Infinity cruise to The Edge. He then moved the cruises that were linked to mine (we were travelling with friends) and ensured that all our cabins were next door to each other as previously. This was within 24 hours of notification that our cruise had been cancelled. Might be worth you trying the same way if you can’t get through on the phone. The responders name is Jack if that helps. Good luck - I hope you get sorted.

Hi Cat.  Thank you so much for your response.  As we never got any correspondence from Celebrity we were at a complete loss as to how to contact them, however, we got some very helpful information from a lady in celebrity yesterday who gave us a contact number.  We finally got through last night and have been moved to the Reflection for a 10 day cruise which we are very happy about as we specifically wanted to visit Dubrovnik.   Thankfully all has been finalised today for us.  I dealt with Jack a couple of years ago and he was really helpful.   Enjoy your trip on The Edge which looks amazing.

  2. Does anyone know how to respond back to Celebrity to advise them of our option choice.  As we never received an correspondence in relation to our cancellation, although we booked directly through Celebrity, we are not sure how to respond back to them.  I have been trying to ring the office in the UK since Thursday but cannot get through.  I have emailed a number of times to different places but again no response.  One agent did reply and gave me information about the options but she cannot deal with our booking.  I am really disappointed with the customer services being provided to us all in relation to this issue but I won't go on a rant about it ...yet.   If anyone can help by giving me an email address for Celebrity we would really appreciate it.

Had a B2B cruise scheduled on Infinity in September Venice to Barcelona.  This was a rebooking of a 2021 B2B Baltic Cruise that we chose to reschedule do to conflicts.  Since our TA made the original booking with non refundable deposits they were moved to our new cruises and remain non refundable.  Now I have two canceled cruise with non refundable deposits.  If I lift and shift what are my chances of being able to apply both deposits to just one new cruise?  I am thinking my best option is to do nothing and let them refund my deposits, which are significant and book the cruise I want.  All I stand to loose are my OBC’s.  None of the cruise options listed really work for us as we need one that starts in Rome and ends in Barcelona or vice versa.  Celeberty Beyond has one that fits the bill.

Maxie this thread is interesting.  Read when you have the time.

No one knows reason but some say Covid.  It seems unusual to cancel so many.

You will be given a list of 3-4 alternates for L&S.  You may like them.  They will be similar dates and locations.  I asked to apply my FCC for Mediterranean cruise 10/2022 to a cruise in South America 12/2023.  No answer yet.

What airline are you on?  Many will give credit for a future flight.  Delta did that for us when our previous cruise was canceled last year.  I’m not going to try to extend the Delta credit.  For us, this year we may convert our cruise to a land tour and use our existing flight with some minor changes to make it a round trip.

Hi.  Thank you so much for sending that on to me,  I am still trying to get an answer from Celebrity but almost impossible to contact them.  We are travelling from Ireland and our flight to Bologna was with Ryanair.  We will try to reschedule to flights once we get some response from Celebrity.

Check the link in post 246.

Thank you,  Opening up with "We are pleased to announce" isn't very comforting when your cruise has been cancelled especially when the closing date to change is the 3rd Feb and we haven't received any correspondence as yet.   Sorry, just ranting.  Thank you again for your response.

  5. We are  booked for  August 27th 2022, 7 day cruise Concierge class, and as yet have not been notified about the cancellation.  Can anyone tell me what the options for lift and shift are please?  Does Celebrity assign your cabin and ship?   We also booked our flights independently of Celebrity as they could not give us that option due to booking too early in advance.  It appears that will now have to forfeit  the cost of our flights.  Does anyone know the reason for the cancellation of the summer schedule?

  6. We still haven't received a letter, today Monday 13th.  I rang Celebrity directly as the deadline to change your cruise appears to be Wednesday 15th.  They were very helpful but also seemed to be taken by surprise but they changed my cruise no problem. We specifically wanted to visit Split and Dubrovnik and that is why we switched cruises as the new itinerary had dropped Split.  Only guarantee staterooms at the moment.  We have never been to Ravenna and may stay there overnight and also stay in Bologna on the way back.   I think that it is all very confusing for staff at the moment and I guess that it will be sorted out in a few days.

We are booked on the Infinity for an Adriatic cruise in June,  but likely will cancel and do a two-week West Coast road trip. We are not planning to cancel a September Alaska cruise on the Solstice.

We are booked on the same cruise and seriously considering cancelling.  Unfortunately if you use Celebrity cruise with confidence you can't transfer your deposit onto another pre-booked cruise which means that unless you book another cruise you loose your money.  Need to decide very soon what to do.

I just came back from my TA, the rep she spoke with said it could be used for an existing booking. I’m still deciding what to do.

Really! Conflicting information which makes it really confusing and difficult to make a decision.  I emailed Celebrity directly but they didn't respond.   Will have to investigate further.   Tks Angelcat

Does anyone know if you can use the future cruise credit on an existing cruise booking?  Also, can it be used on more than one cruise?  And, if you book with the FCC, can you cancel and get your FCC reinstated?   I can't get through to HAL to ask these questions.

My Travel agent has just informed me that we cannot use our FCC for existing bookings.  We have a cruise booked for 2021 and were hoping to roll over the FCC onto that but not possible.  FCC is for new bookings only.

  10. Hi

I am booked on the Infinity leaving Venice on the 14th June 2020 but this and all other sailings for June 2020 ( except 28th)  on the Infinity have been taken off the Celebrity and other websites.  Celebrity and Travel Agent are giving different reasons, from totally booked out to checking bookings.  Is anyone else booked on this sailing?  I am hoping that it is going ahead.

  11. Hi

I cant find any of the sailing details on the system for the Infinity Mediterranean sailing leaving Venice on the 14th. June 2020  We have booked this cruise but it or other June sailings are no longer available on websites.    Has anyone else heard anything about it?  Mixed messages coming from Celebrity and travel agent.

  12. Not sure if the last two posters realize, but you CAN just pay the difference (plus 18%) if you order something over the Classic package limit; you don't have to pay the full amount. This used to be true of the premium package only but they changed it to include both packages.

Thank you late2cruisin. I wasn't sure if this was still the case. The cost of the upgrade has just been put up for our cruise and indeed it is very expensive and not worth it for the occasional Martini.

  13. The last 3 cruises we’ve done on Celebrity we have gotten the classic pkg. perk and paid the difference for the premium. For a 7 night to difference is usually around 80 including tax and gratituty. I would think more about what you like to drink, how many you’ll drink and how much they cost.

Since classic goes up to $9 beverages, it’s nice to have a line drawn. I like all the fancy cocktails and wine so i know the premium package is for me because I will have at least 1 of those a day. Also, it makes it personally easier to know I can basically order whatever I want and not have to think about whether it’s in my package. I want to think as little as possible when I’m on that ship, lol.

I haven’t asked about getting them made with lower shelf liquors. That would be good to ask, but do know you will have to pay full price if it’s not included in your package, you can’t pay the difference.

Thank you so much for your reply. I am totally with you about not wanting to think about what I can and cannot order and for that reason I think that we will upgrade to Premium. I very occasionally like to try a Martini or a nice wine but it is very confusing when you don't really know what is covered in your package. Thank you.

  14. With the new $14 differential, to justify the upgrade to Premium, you would need to drink either at least five $12 priced drinks or at least four $13 or higher priced drinks each day. Although, this does not include the additional non-alcoholic drink Premium benefits that might also affect your decision.

Wow definitely not worth it for a very occasional Martini. I will stick to the ordinary water, which is fine, and my normal GnTs which are lovely. Thank you for that information as I didn't realize that the price had increased.

  15. It seems like waiting two or three days to decide would save money, somevenif it costs a tad bit more to upgrade you would still be ahead

I think you are correct in what you are saying Alakegirl especially when I never drink a Martini, . I have been on a few cruises with Celebrity and I always find it a bit confusing in the beginning when they change the selections available on the Classic package from one year to the next. . It gets so busy in the Martini bar that you need to be clear about what you can get and what to order. .

  16. I am guessing by Ice Bar you mean the Martini bar and you can get beer, wine & cocktails at the Martini bar that are covered by the Classic package. What you can’t get at the Martini bar on the Classic package are the Martinis as they are $12 which is above the Classic package. If you want you can order them and pay the extra $3 plus 18% gratutity.

Thanks Jelayne. Yes you are right I did mean the Martini bar. That is really helpful. Thank you.

  17. Hi

Does anyone know what you can get at the moment on the Classic Drinks Package in the way of beers and shorts. I am travelling in June and just wondering if you can get cocktails at the Ice Bar made with non-premium liquor or should I upgrade to Premium. I don't want to drink many cocktails but would like to know what exactly you can order. I cant find any up to date details on the Celebrity web page and it is really confusing trying to order a drink when you don't know what you can order.
