  1. Sailing Enchantment Of The Seas on 3/6 (NEXT WEEK YAY) out of Miami.

We have a group of mixed ages going ranging from 20-60. My husband keeps making fun of me because he thinks the ship is going to be flooded with drunken crazy college kids.

I really don't care. It's vacation and the people watching might be fun for once.

    When is official spring break?

The ship is sold out except for suites. I've never gone out of Miami in March. Is it going to be flooded with 20 somethings in teeny swimsuits and boys looking for their next piece? ha ha ha

I think my husband is jealous he isn't going. ha ha ha

  2. Was just doing some (more) research on Enchantment, as we're sailing on her next month as well when I saw your post. We're boarding the day you're disembarking. Just wanted to give fair warning that the port may be a bit more crowded/busy than usual. Our cruise on the 10th is a music charter cruise, so you'll likely be seeing lots of incoming equipment and crew. Hope you have a wonderful sailing on her - I know we're looking forward to it! :)

Awesome. Thank you! I hope you have fun!

  3. Yes you can but not sure why you would want or need to. They will serve your drink in a new glass each time and not in the souvenir cup if you request a regular glass.

Souvenir cup is bigger than regular glass = Less trips to bar = faster to rum/fun/shaking my rear end to the sound of the steel drum. But you have a good point. ;) Thank you!!

  4. I've got several colors of the Labadoozie cups... blue, white, yellow! I do remember having the drink package on Labadee and I had to go up to the bar and get a drink if I didn't want to pay. Those traveling bartenders, unfortunately, are not able to cater to us drink package people. :(

I'll have to remember that thank you.

But I'm wondering if I'll be able to use my yellow cup from Labadee on Coco Cay at the bar if I walk up myself with the cup. lol

  5. Funny title right? ;)

So I have the yellow tall cup from RC that they serve the Labadoozie in on Labadee. I am leaving in 15 days for a cruise out of Miami and we stop at Coco Cay. I heard they have a similar drink to the labadoozie on Coco Cay and people drinking them in pictures appear to be using the same cup. I have the drink package. I don't want to pay for another souvenir cup because I don't need two. I think in Labadee I paid $13 or so for the cup with drink and it was $8 for a refill or something like that.

My question is - If I take that cup with me, will they refill it since I have the ultimate drink package?

  6. If a woman with well-manicured feet wants to wear stylish flip-flops into the MDR, that's their purview as long as the cruise line in question doesn't explicitly forbid it.

OTOH, men should NEVER wear flip-flops into a restaurant (and I say that as a guy). Who wants to see some dude's hairy, smelly, fungus-encrusted, disease-laden feet while they're trying to have dinner?

    Your post made me LOL...

I will say though, not all men have nasty feet if they have a good woman who takes care of him. :D:p

  7. Well said.

Some people have valid reasons to wear "flip flops" in the MDR.

Other people have valid reasons to wear shorts in the MDR.

I was on a cruise last year out of Baltimore where I witnessed a group traveling with a few folks who were in wheelchairs due to MHMR reasons (mental health/mental retardation). The woman escorting a guy in a wheelchair was told by staff she had to leave and go put him in pants because shorts were not allowed. She said he is unable to wear pants due to the braces on his legs. They escorted them out of the MDR which was a huge turnoff for me. I was very disappointed with the way RC handled this. What was this guy hurting by wearing his khaki shorts and a nice button up shirt in his wheel chair???

  8. I have very bad plantar fasciitis. And dressy sandals that meet the support needs that I have for my foot are very hard to come by. I found that Vionic makes awesome orthotic flip flops that are rather dressy. Not your average $2.00 Old Navy junky flip flops.

So before we go judging everyone who has to wear "flip flops" in the MDR, please understand that some of us have valid reasons.

  9. Do they have theme nights on Enchantment? It's only a 4 night cruise. (3/6/17) Out of Miami.

But it's spring break time. I'm sure it's going to be one heck of a party. There are 11 of us going. Ages raging from 21 - 55. My husband seems to think that we are going to be outnumbered by college age kids. I could care less. I'm just there to have fun.

So, if they do have theme nights I wanna be prepared. ha ha ha Anyone know what they are?

  10. I booked everything through Royal Caribbean. Flight, hotel the day before the cruise and transportation. My best friend and I arrive in Miami at 9am the day before the cruise. So we will have the whole day to explore and enjoy whatever we find.

RC booked us a room at the Miami Mariott near the airport. And from what I have read it's not that exciting or there really isn't much to do. I don't want to sit around in a hotel room all day.

So my question is, if I call RC do you think they will help me find something closer to the beach. Maybe within walking distance so we can go and enjoy Miami? If so, any suggestions as to a hotel that is fun and beachside that will take us to the cruise ship?

Or should we just stay at the Mariott, hang out by the pool and relax?

We are two moms in our 30's going away for spring break with a large group. The rest of our group is arriving the morning of the cruise.

  11. Awesome. Thank you for your suggestions. We are two married moms who are traveling for spring break this year. We have been best friends for over 15 years and this is our first vacation together, without husbands and without kids.

So a relaxing day by the pool may be just what we need. We have some other family members booked on this cruise who are traveling in from Texas. I don't want to change my reservation now as they also are staying at the same hotel.

An uber sounds perfect. It would be my first time for that as well (country girl) We don't have ubers around here. You either drive yourself or you walk lol

  12. Departing 3/6 out of Miami on the Enchantment. VERY Excited as I am ready to get away from this snow and freezing Pennsylvania weather.

We are staying in Baltimore the night before we fly down. We have a landing time of 930 in Miami so we will have most of the day and evening to do things in Miami before our cruise the next day.

We are staying at the Miami Airport Marriott. My plan is to maybe just hang by the pool for the day and relax since we will be up at 0300 for our flight.

OR... does anyone know of anything else close to the airport that is safe, fun and not too expensive?

Does the hotel offer a free shuttle to anything close?

  13. Take the bus or a taxi (both easy) to the Public Beach/Calico Jacks section of Seven Mile Beach. It will have everything you need.

From what I have seen, that seems to be pretty popular. My husband said he just wants to sit in the sand and enjoy the beach. He wasn't real fond of going to the turtle farm.

    Thank you for the info!

  14. I'm sure I could spend all day here reading info on 7 mile island. I don't have all day so apologize if this is a repeat post.

We will be in Grand Cayman at the end of April. We were going to take our son to the turtle farm but we are now leaning more towards just wanting a beach day.

We have a small group going. My son is 7. So any suggestions on a family friendly spot on 7 mile beach that has a bathroom close by, won't break the bank and maybe a bite to eat.

Also, correct me if I am wrong... but the public bus is the easiest option for transportation right?

    Thank you!

    -Terra

  15. Mr. Sanchos all-inclusive side would be great for you if you do not have your son with you.

With your son I would lean to Paradise Beach - great facilities and a HUGE pool.

    THANK YOU!!!!

From the sounds of it, the kids will be with us that day. So Paradise it is.

  16. I've done a little research on the two and I like what I am reading on both. I think the prices are very reasonable.

We will be visiting Cozumel in April 2016. My parents (mid 50's) will be with us along with our 7 year old son. My husband and I love to booze it up on vacation ha ha. My parents offered to take our son with them for the day so my hubby and I could enjoy a day on our own. I think I'd like for him to spend the day with us. I'm not sure yet.

My question is, which place is better if we go without our son? And which place is a little more friendly for a 7 year old?
