I only went into the Diamond Lounge once on my recent Mariner cruise. It was empty. Used my card to get in at the door and I could’ve brought as many people as I wanted. Nobody would’ve been the wiser.
-
I did and they don’t have any they said except at the bars. It’s weird because they’ve always had it out in pitchers or in the machine.
-
First world problem I know, but none of the venues that serve free coffee on the Mariner have cream anymore. They have those fake packs of creamer. Is this a ploy to get people to buy the coffee card? Because it worked, lol. I need my coffee

If I’m flying in to Fort Lauderdale the day before my Miami departure cruise, am I better off staying in Fort Lauderdale for the night? Too many choices.
Any hotel and transportation recommendations would be appreciated

How easy is it to swap people? Person I originally was going to sail with can’t go now. Someone else can go in their place. Is it an easy change? Are they going to charge for the change? Not sailing until April

I’m on the same cruise. Just waiting for southwest to open their April bookings so I can finalize arrangements too.

are you all made of money? found a tree that grows money? or rather a whole money growing forest? :o
.
I’m glad you asked, I was wondering the same thing, lol. I’m lucky if I can swing one a year on my teacher salary. But I do like reading everyone’s reviews so kept them coming!!

Cupcake decorating is totally not worth a dinner. Nowhere near a fair exchange. I did one and it was cute but a very simple creation. We each got two cupcakes and made French fries and a hamburger. Lasted maybe 30 minutes

I book my air myself now after a bad experience with Air2Sea a few years back. My sister and I were booked on one airline but then were notified a few days before the trip of a change. No big deal....until our return flight, which was on airline 1. We got to the airport and they said they cancelled us because we were no-shows on the original flight. Air2Sea never cancelled the original flight. So we were stuck in Miami. Called Royal Caribbean and they basically told us that it wasn’t their problem. We finally got home thanks to a very nice lady at the airport that searched and searched and finally found a flight to accommodate us. I think she felt sorry for us.
They try to find the cheapest way to get you from point A to point B. But for now on I’ll do that myself with the comfort of having complete control of my reservation.

I always put it in the closet as I inevitably always walk into it in the dark on my way to the bathroom.

Anyone have any information on excursions at Inverness/Loch Ness? RCI site has no excursions listed at all on the website. Wondering if it's a website glitch or if there are really no excursions there.

I saw Cats on Broadway years ago. Hated it. Would never waste my time on a cruise sitting through that show.

Highly recommend Cortrans. Used them back to MCO because of a flight that Royal Caribbean said was too early. We carried our own bags off and got to the airport in plenty of time.

We always eat all meals in the Windjammer and I did notice more people in the Windjammer at all meals on my Explorer sailing last month than what we usually see. Never had a problem finding a table though.

Just off Explorer where the library is a library/game room. Tried to sit in there one afternoon to catch up on some reading and it was louder in there than the Promenade.

Highly recommend Cortrans. They were awesome when I used them in August. I always used the cruise lines shuttle bus but Royal Caribbean wouldn't allow me to book on the way home because my flight was before noon. I would never use them again now that I know about Cortrans. They were on time, staff was friendly, all around great experience

I did the cupcake class on Freedom in August. I signed up for the adult one but there ended up being kids in it as well. One young girl was getting very frustrated because she couldn't keep up, but they did go slow enough for older kids to follow. It was fun.

I would never buy my air through RCI again.
Reason 1::My sister and I took a cruise out of Miami and a few days before we got notice that they were changing our flights and we were now flying on two different airlines, one going down a different one coming home. No big deal, right? I guess because cheaper flights became available. All was fine on the way to Miami, cruise was great. Then we got to the airport for our flight home and were told that because we did not fly in, they assumed we cancelled and they cancelled our return flight. Obviously we did fly in, but on the other airline. RCI changed the flight but apparently didn't cancel us off the first one. So we promptly called RCI and the rep basically told us it wasn't their problem. Airline put us on standby and we eventually got home after hours and hours in the airport.
Reason 2: a cruise in Alaska where their air took us from Newark to Dallas to Vancouver. Waste of time. But cheaper for them
But I take care of my own flights now. I can usually find cheaper flights and routes that make more sense than what they come up with.

The insurance makes up the difference after the cruiseline reimburses their portion. I went through this last year when my mother got sick. We had to submit paperwork that the doctor filled out and I can tell you I was glad we took the insurance.

when do they release shore excursions and packages for cruises?
in Royal Caribbean International

I’m going on Empress in July NE/Canada and there are some shore excursions but doesn’t seem like it’s a complete list. Not many in each port
