After 2 cruises on the Dream, I am taking our crew on the Magic in April. My granddaughter said she is looking forward to the pomegranate/lemonade juice they served in Cabanas on the Dream. Does anyone know if that will be available on the Magic?

thank you moki'smommy
i was hoping you'd weigh in on the subject. unfortunately right now it looks like budget has the best price. My favorite company, enterprise, has a $100. "drop off" fee, which jacks up the price. Im not done researching, but if i go Budget, i wont get the "pay now" rate. In the past, Ive found that a better price usually comes along

Thank you Proud Dance Mom, i located several companies in downtown miami. Now i have to do my research and get the best deal. Any other good, or bad experiences with rentals in this situation?

I had this all figured out in port canaveral thanks to CC, but on our next cruise, we fly to Fort Lauderdale and cruise from Miami.
With 7 of us, i would like to rent a car at FLL, stay over in Miami for one night, then drop off the crew at the port for embarkation, and then return the rental car alone somewhere close and take a shuttle back to the port.
Has anyone done this successfully and can pass along the specifics?
thank you

I recently sailed on the Caribbean Princess on the caribe deck with the larger balcony. I am looking at cruising on the crown princess and am wondering if there is a particular deck on this ship that has the larger balcony
thank you

I was at Paradise Beach in December. It was a $15.00 cab ride( no matter how many were in the cab, so go with others if possible). It was $3.00 a person to get in with the stipulation that each person spends $10.00 in food or drink. And believe me, they are a little pushy if you havent ordered something within an hour. They have a wonderful assortment of blow-up structure to climb and jump on in the water, but there was a $18.00 dollar fee to use them. There is a pier to walk out on and snorkel off of, and the snorkeling was decent.
All in all it was a nice beach, safe, clean and monitored, but i didnt like their policy of not letting a customer move a sun lounger to face the sun. The chairs had to remain in straight lines, for some unknown reason.

We had 9432, a 4A cabin on deck 9, we loved it

Thank you, Now all I have to do is resist doing any googling or youtube on the subject.

I have a few questions about the 5 night Disney Magic cruise dining situation. First, Animators Palate. On the Dream, Crush is the star of the show at AP, but im reading its different entertainment on the Magic. Can someone tell me about it?
I know for the five nights its a 3 night rotation with the 3 MDRs, then Pirate night, what happens on the 5th night?
thank you

Im sure we will have a great time on the Magic, we had two awesome trips on the Dream. We love the Bahamas and CC, not sure about the Key West stop though.
Did i read correctly that the deck pizza shop closes at 7? If so, we will have to order room service for pizza and the late night movie under the stars. do you mind the questions?
thanks, bill

Great review! Very much appreciated. I am switching to the Magic after 2 cruises on the Dream. I figured its still a Disney cruise, but with a different look. Time will tell if it was a good move. Can i pin you down as to which ship you prefer?

Thank you for the assistance. there are 3 of us in the cabin. I think i will go with the 5A. Sounds like it wont be that much of a drop off from 4A. Itwont hurt to save a little $$. The cruise im looking at has a stop in key west. Doesnt sound that appealing, i think we will treat this as a sea day.

Trying to save a little money for my next cruise. Ive sailed twice on the Dream in a 4A cabin, im looking at the Magic this next time, but in a 5A cabin. What are the differences in these cabins?

:)and mickey bars? that will seal the deal. the Magic is also a little less expensive than the Dream at that time for which i am looking
-
Thank you MM, good to see you again. Thats what i thought, all the same Disney experience, with some new stuff. Does the Magic have movies on deck at night, fireworks, and pirate night? im looking at the 4 night cruise out of miami in april 2018
thanks, bill

I have sailed on the Dream twice with the kids and grandkids and we love Nassau and CC. I am ready to book again, but wondered if sailing on the Magic with the same itinerary would be a nice change. Any opinions that would help me decide would be appreciated.

Thanks for all of your help, but unfortunately I couldnt make this cruise work due to unexpected family issues.

The decision seems like a no brainer to take the mini suite, but what do i do if they put us on Emerald deck above the disco? Is the noise that bad?
-
I appreciate all the assistance! thank you. I am leaning toward the mini suite despite not knowing where they will put us.
One concern is, is there a chance that we would get an obstructed view balcony with the mini suite?
-
I am looking at the 11/2 Emerald Princess cruise out of Ft L. For roughly the same price, I can book a premium balcony on Caribe deck, or a mini suite. If Im understanding, they dont tell you where the mini suite will be located until close to the sailing date. I could use some advice on the pro's and con's of each choice. Thank you

A few questions if someone would be so kind.
Is one able to bring a case of soda and water on board the Nieuw Amsterdam? Is free coffee on the room service menu
thank you
-
Thanks for the heads up about the coffee maker.
On the Disney Dream, we used to get some fresh chicken fingers, fries, and pizza and settle in and watch the big screen. It was probably around 11 o clock or so. Memories!

Thank you LHT.
I think i solved my coffee problem by planning on bringing our small coffeemaker. those are allowed arent they?
I plan on spending around 1000, give or take each of us for a 7 night cruise, less for 5 nights. My two favorite times on my last cruise were having coffee on my balcony at 6 am, and watching a late night movies on the big screen under the stars with a glass of wine.
drop off at the port
in Disney Cruise Line

We will be flying in to Fort Lauderdale, renting a van (7 of us) and driving to and staying overnight in Miami for our Magic cruise the next day. I plan on dropping everyone off at the port, then returning the car on 99th st to take the shuttle back to the port. Ive done this in port Canaveral, but its my first in Miami.
I read that the traffic to the port can be overwhelming. Can someone who has done this before reassure me that I should have no problem carrying out this plan?
