  1. We booked air with Celebrity for our June cruise and have received 2 emails with flight changes but on our dashboard the original times still show? I’m confused. Have never booked air w/ cruise line but figured if it’s canceled all my refund coming from Celebrity. Any advice?

  2. I'm so annoyed at the price increase right now during the "sale"..i'm seriously looking at another cruise line...the price is crazy. I cruised last year same week for a week and this year same cruise is $675 more expensive..ON SALE.

I am stuck with this particular week off so must find something...never will i go on carnival again...any help? I may put off vacation until October but the weather can really be an issue. Left once out of PR in a hurricane on Nov. 1st...

    Island to visit?

    All inclusive?

    Princess?

    Norwegian? Will i hate it?

Please help this poor girl find a vacation!

  3. We arrived at the Caymans a tad before 8AM. Remember that the ship's time gets turned back one hour on that leg of the journey. I was on the first tender off and had my feet on land well before 9. Passengers w/RC excursions met at the theater and then were escorted to the tenders. Passengers w/o RC excursions were lined up to get tender tickets and that line was very long. I have no idea how long that takes since I was off the ship so quickly. Once there you have many options to take excursions through tour companies. I love this island! I was lucky enough to spend a week there once and would love to do it again.

Favorite food: I had escargot every night:eek:....the garlic yummy sauce soaked up by my roll...OMG! But wait there's more....tomato and grilled feta salad was so yummy! Lobster and shrimp night was so good! I ordered a few appetizers every night and no entree except the night it was lobster night. There were so many different things to try. Several people at my table had prime rib and really enjoyed it.

Desserts: I had banana creme brulee, chocolate mouse cake, raspberry sherbert and chocolate ice cream...it was my birthday and my oldest son sent me a birthday cake that was so delicious! Chocolate/chocolate...that boy knows his Momma! Plus the bottle of wine he sent was sweet too!

Breakfast for me was room service with just cereal, coffee, etc...one of my favorite cruise things to do is breakfast on the balcony with my book! Makes me feel so spoiled and very much on vacation!

They gym is smaller than I expected but had everything one needs to get a good workout. I also took spin class 2 times. ( I'm a tad addicted)

The band was pretty good. The singers were really good. One night they had a gentleman who's name escapes me at this moment but he was SO VERY GOOD! He brought tears to my eyes with one song! He got 2 standing ovations! I mean he was GREAT!

    Hope this helps!

Oh yes, a previous questions about the cleanliness of cabins. My cabin was very clean and the bathroom was spotless! Shower curtain liners...what in the world were they thinking to NOT fix that during the refurbishing? Oh well..ladies, you can stick your leg out of the shower onto the toilet; perfect f'or shaving your legs....another cruiser told me that. Gentlemen if you are tall...good luck. I'm about 5'3 and weigh about 115 and I felt cramped in the shower. Go to the spa and shower...has everything you need!

  4. Pananis were available in the cafe by the solarium pool.

Disco dance party on the first night was so much fun! We had a good crowd on board and everyone was actively involved for all of the events.

Luke the cruise director was a hoot!

The captain was everywhere! I even saw HER unlocking a cabin one night to let a passenger in their cabin!

The bars were not crowded at all. From my observations it didn't seem that many people were doing the beverage package. Beverage service around the pool was quick and efficient when I used it:D

  5. For all of you getting ready to leave let me assure you that it's a wonderful ship and you will have a great time!

I sailed May 31st for 5 nights. Balcony cabin 7646 almost at the very end....makes me want to try an aft cabin!!!

My cabin steward was efficient but NOT friendly at all. She said about 20 words to me all week "Good Morning Madam, Good Night Madam"...very disappointing. The cabin steward in the section above me was funny and he always kept me laughing!

Dinner was late seating and our wait staff rocked it! The entire DR for late seating all seemed to enjoy themselves. I was traveling solo for the fist time so was a tad nervous but I sat at a table of 10 and now I have 8 new friends!

Food was ok for the most part. Some was great; some was bland. Many celebrations all week long!

Ports: Key West: I did the paddle boarding excursion and I LOVED IT! Do it!

Cayman Island: Jeep Tours...again LOVED IT!!!! So much fun!!!

Shows were ok, C & A perks ok. Great weather and calm seas!

I did the wine tasting and sushi luncheon...way fun!

Spa was quiet; I had a pedicure on the last day. Staff not friendly. Always polite, just not friendly!

    Questions: ask away!

I will agree w/ some posters...something with the staff seems a bit "off". Bar staff so NOT the usual friendly, fun loving type....not that the service was poor, just not "the same" as I've come to expect. This is the first ship in this class I've sailed on so maybe the size?

    Cheers to vacations!!!

  6. I will get getting on today and will report back! 5 night cruise so hoping the "bar crowd" were all on last week for the holiday weekend!

I'm a tad worried too but also know that a cruise is what I make of it myself! Other passenger's behavior will only affect my cruise if I let them!

I do know one thing for sure; it beats going to work next week!

When I get off on Thursday I'm driving over to Marco Island for 3 days. I've never stayed after the cruise; always arrived a few days earlier but decided to switch things around...this will also be my first solo cruise.

Cheers to sunny skies and somebody else cooking for me!

  7. I'm leaving in 10 days and I'm getting nervous about this solo gig...I did get moved from the wait list to late seating so I'm hoping they sit me at a table with solo diners as I think it will be easy to converse with other solo travelers verses families...I will not bring my nook the first night and just "dive right in" and see how it goes!

I'm also a tad nervous about solo excursions; feeling like the fifth wheel...anyone have some encouraging words? In the keys I'm doing paddle boarding so that is fine but in the cayman islands i'm doing a 6 hours jeep/beach tour where certainly i will be shoved in a jeep with a family...

I'd love to hear some feedback!

    Thanks!

  8. This will be my first "solo" cruise and most of me is looking forward to it...except for dining alone. Hoping to meet other single travelers. I'm in my early 50's and just needed some alone time...been on several cruises with family but dynamics of life have changed....cheers to being solo!

  9. Thank you so much to all who posted about the Vision! I too was wondering why there was hardly any information about this ship!

I leave on the 31st! This is my first "solo" cruise, but my 7th w/ RC. Went on the Sovereign a few years ago and truly loved the crew so perhaps the smaller ships have the best crew!

I just booked a couple of weeks ago and I'm on a wait list for 8:30 dining. I'm worried about feeling lonely at dinner which is why I wanted to join a big table...I guess I'll wing it with MTD. Truly don't want to eat in the WJ at night.

    Cheers to cruising!
