We have a B2B cruise on Nieuw Statendam 11/28/21 & 12/5/21. Both legs have a couple of foreign ports (Grand Turk & Dominican Republic). We were wondering if there are testing requirements to re-enter the US. We know that we'll need Covid tests to board, but what about after being in a foreign port or coming back to Ft Lauderdale?
TIA!

Yikes...hopefully things get organized for you guys quickly!
Want to join us this coming December on Eurodam?
Would love to, but I don't know what this year will bring. We haven't made any decisions yet about a cruise this year because we have a couple of big family events (significant birthday, wedding etc) and they are taking up a lot of my vacation time. I will keep my eye on the pricing - which Eurodam cruise are you doing?

I'm having the same issue with lack of response. My PCC was less than responsive and I have called several times (and emailed once) to ask to be assigned to a new PCC. No response yet, but maybe the reorganization is at the root of that.

Rjraines1, I’m so sorry you’re having such difficulty. We’ve received all of our refunds - I wasn’t exactly sure what they were all for so I emailed guest services and received an itemization

Really enjoyed meeting you and Yvonne. This was a terrific and objective review; we felt much the same about the ship and the cruise. We changed plans since the second week was canceled, but we sure had fun while we were on!
I hope we see you on another dam ship!

I think I'd try and find a nice hotel and spend the rest of the time there and enjoy Florida and fly home on my regular flight.
That’s what we are going to do. I cannot reschedule my vacation at this point so we’re going to rent a car and head out

My understanding is that if you used flight ease they are rebooking for you. I think they are also covering flight cancellation and change fees

New info on disembarkation etc. HAL is doing a pretty good job of communicating- guests can self-disembark now with all shipboard charges reversed plus a full refund of cruise fare, prepaid excursions etc. plus a 100% future cruise credit equal to fees paid for this trip. Terrible end to a great vacation, but HAL is doing the best it can.
Guests can also use the ship as a hotel tonight, and leave tomorrow

Announcement by the captain a few minutes ago that the repairs cannot be completed at this time. They are reviewing options to either significantly alter the itinerary or cancel the cruise. We should know by noon.
To change the itinerary will require multiple approvals, so we shall see.

Problem with the Azipod caused our late arrival this morning and departure is also delayed. No word yet on repairs so we will just have to wait and see. We have a cocktail in hand and dinner in the Tamarind so we’re all good.

Congratulations! You will have so much fun!

We received the email giving us a boarding time of 1PM (decks 7 & 8), but we will give it a try earlier. If we need to wait awhile, we're fine with that, but we do enjoy having lunch in the MDR on embarkation day, and I know it closes fairly early.

Love your blog and pictures - thank you!

Really interesting review - thank you! And your pictures are terrific. It sounds like you will be cruising again

I called this morning, and our fares were reduced by $235 per person, with free gratuities. We lost $300 in OBC, but we're still ahead $576.

I was able to get to the payment screen from my booking screen. When I clicked manage booking, and signed in, one of the options was "make final payment". It took me to the payment screen - I was concerned that it would only accept payment in full, but it also gave me the option to pay "other amount"

We're booked on a B2B in December, and when I called HAL (booked through future cruise consultant), they told me that since we booked both weeks together, we would stay in the same cabin. Your TA should be able to verify for you.

Thanks one and all for the advice! We're not on Medicare yet, so I will check the alternative travel insurance plans and my AMX.

We have cancellation insurance, but I'm looking for information regarding emergency medical insurance for a cruise. I have always been a klutz, and as I grow older, I tend to do damage when I go down. Would this be something we would purchase from our regular insurance agent? TIA

I know this is a little off topic, but I'd like to thank you for doing this. It gave me quite a thrill when the cruise drew close and I saw the bon voyage with my name in it! Thanks for all your dedication to making our cruises special.

We were seated next to Elvis and his companion in the Pinnacle; DH told the server “thank you very much” and he leaned over and said “that’s my line!”. We enjoyed his show as well!

Can someone please provide a number for group bookings? I’ve looked through Carnival’s website, with no success. Would it be better to just call their main reservation number?
TIA
