  1. Good evening!

We visited Trogir, which is a quaint little town. Got a coffee and croissant in the square, toured the church and listened to the a cappella group. It really did seem like a Little Venice!

The trip from the cruise port to Trogir and Primošten Burnji was best if one sat on the right hand side. Gorgeous route along the ocean and through the countryside.

Primošten Burnji was something else! A great collection of period buildings, some dried figs, freshly cracked almonds, and a shot of grappa. We enjoyed lunch there, with the best bread I’ve ever had. Very nice house wine, grilled pork and sauerkraut, with profiteroles for dessert. We were serenaded during dinner, and a tour of the land and garden made for a great experience. The retired Msgr was a stoic character, very rugged. Watch out, the donkey gets mad if you don’t have food for her.

  2. Everyone I saw in the spa area with pool, hot whirlpool, snow grotto, sauna and steam room had on a bathing suit and the slippers and robe that were in each locker with a towel. Those getting massages, facials, etc wore robes.

In the main pool area and on the aquavit terrace pool and spa everyone wore robes and slippers that were in their room over their bathing suits if they were going in the water.

    Perfect thank you so much!!

  3. Just in case the folks monitoring the TellUs email address don't get back to me, is there anyone in-the-know that can tell me what the spa/pool area attire rules are?

Can women wear athletic-type swim trunks / t-shirt (or other athletic shirt), or is a bathing suit required? And can one go barefoot, or do I need to wear flip flips, sandals, etc?

  4. We will sail on the Sun for the World Cruise, also in a PV stateroom. When you do embark on the Sun I would really appreciate knowing how wide is the closet, are there are any drawers in the closet and if so how much width space do the drawers take up.

We will be on the ship for four months and every inch of storage will be close to gold in value, we are thinking of rigging a second hanging bar in the closet and knowing how wide it can be will be great knowledge.

    Thanks so much, Paul

ps - if you prefer please email me directly at (email removed for privacy)

    Paul,

Absolutely! I'll set a reminder to get back with you on closet spaces. My iPhone has that new Augmented Reality thing, so I'll see if it's worth a darn as a ruler :)

  5. Funny story: When I first traveled to Italy in high school, we got some pizza in Capri and I think I threw out half of it, thinking that it was horrible pizza. Oooooh, how little did I know back then!!

Now my eyes have been opened, and I can't wait to go back! I'm hoping for enough time in Naples to get a true Neapolitan pizza!

  6. I found some other recommendations for restaurants in Rome, in the budget-conscious range (under 15 euros):

    Trastevere area

Trattoria da Lucia (family-run since before WWII), closed Mondays, cash only - avoid sitting in the back room.

Trattoria da Olinda (closed Sunday, cash only)

Pizzeria "Ai Marmi" (pizza place, also served fried cod, rice balls, etc. Closed Wed, cash only, really busy from 22:00 - 22:00, they open at 18:30).

    Catina Ripagrande (lunch 13:00 - 15:30, dinner 19:30 - 22:30, with drinks throughout the day - happy hour from 18:00 - 20:30, which includes a little buffet).

Pantheon Area, Near Camp de' Fiori

Filetti di Baccala (specialty is fried cod and other finger foods - closed Sunday, cash only - a greasy-spoon)

Open Baladin (modern brewpub with burgers, salads, etc - prices a little high, opens at noon)

Or let me know which area you'll be looking in (or a nearby monument/attraction), and I can get more :)

  7. Adventure Gal79, I think we are up to join you, along with my sister and husband, but we are wondering how jet lagged we may be.

Hi! Great, thanks! I was thinking of going for an hour or so, or leaving it open-ended so those that wanted to stay COULD (assuming they were comfortable travelling back to the ship).

I'll coordinate more on our Roll Call thread :)

  8. What's the best way you've found to coordinate with fellow CC cruisers (on the same cruise) while ON the cruise?

Do most post to the Roll Call (i.e. let's meet _____ at _____)?

What about coordinating with a smaller group, so you don't annoy everyone on your Roll Call?

Exchange cabin numbers and call rooms?

PS - This is my first cruise, so this might be old hat for most, but I'm a detail person! :halo: :o
