  1. We are going on a 7 night eastern Caribbean sailing on the Glory May 30,2015. We were thinking of eating at the steakhouse one night. What is everyone's opinion on the best night to eat there?

I know they have the deal about getting a free bottle of wine if you eat there the first night but I wondered about what other pros and cons there may be to eating there other nights.

Thanks in advance for everyone's opinions/help!!

  2. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami pre cruise. I paid $203 total for a Bayside room for one night. From what I understand it is right across the street from Bayside marketplace and a couple of blocks away from a CVS. It is also a 5 minute or so cab ride from the port. I have not been there yet personally but everything I have read about it has been good.

  3. Perfect thanks !! Was there a specific place in Miami you had to choose ? Or will it tell me.

I picked the Miami International Airport pickup. I don't know if the shuttle from the port will take you to that office but if not we will just take a taxi. I wanted the airport because that's where we will be dropping off regardless so I don't mind paying the extra money for the taxi if the Alamo shuttle won't take us there.

  4. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami. It is reasonably priced, convenient to shopping (CVS close and mall across the street), and you can see the ships from the hotel in the morning if you have the right room. :D

  5. Did you call Alamo directly or book online ? If so where.

we need a car only for a day too. Early disembark ... late flight.

    what port ?

I booked it online. We will be in Miami. Alamo also offers a shuttle from the cruise terminal and take to their rental office.

  6. We are renting a minivan for 4 people through Alamo at the airport for $30 for one day. We just needed something to kill time from our 8am debarkation until our 830pm flight so we figured we could do a little sight seeing in between. Alamo was way cheaper than everyone else by for when I looked.

  7. What time is the next flight? We've been AT the airport by 9am....so it is doable....If the next flight is after noon, I'd go for the earlier flight and take my chances!

The only other flight available is at 8:15pm. I just decided to go ahead and book it instead of the early flight that way we wouldn't be running around like crazy people and stressing. We will just extend our vacation a few more hours waiting.:D

  8. (I know this post may be better suited for the "Florida Departures" board but I thought this board may have more activity and more experience regarding the FTTF debarkation. So that is why it's cross posted. :) )

If we are debarking off the Glory at 8am from the POM and have the FTTF pass that allows us early debarkation, is there any way we could make a 10:15am flight from MIA?? I know it would probably be pushing it but the next flight isn't until 8:10pm.

    Thanks for any help!!

  9. After our cruise, which is sailing out of POM, we will be flying out of FLL but our flight doesn't leave until 6:05 that night. We were hoping to sightsee around Miami a little between debarkation and our flight.

Does anyone know if there is anywhere or anyone who would safely store our things until we got ready to leave? Even if it was for a small charge we wouldn't mind.

Ideally we would do our sightseeing before the cruise but because our flight schedules that won't be possible.

    Thanks!!

  10. What exactly does a PVP help you do? I found the cruise I want, I know what the price is supposed to be.. Do they give you secret deals if you haggle with them? I called Carnival, spoke to a lady to book my cruise, booked. What else can I use her for?

The only reason I used one to book is because I thought maybe I could get a better deal with them, but I was wrong. Also, the only reason I needed to deal with him again was because I initially booked an oceanview room but changed my mind and wanted to do a balcony. So, I had to call him and have him do it to keep my payments I had already made and excursions I had already booked all straight. It was a total pain in the butt too. I had much rather do something all myself online than have to talk to someone. Most of the time they talk down to you and tell you what you want instead of listening. That may be okay for some but I do my homework and know what I am talking about so I don't really enjoy someone trying to "sell" me on something when I already know what I want.
