My wife and I will be taking a cruise next month and we're looking for some activities to do in port while at San Juan. I think we have like 8 hours before the ship leaves. Is that enough time to make it to the east coast and back? We're trying to go spearfishing. Any advice would be welcome!

Supposedly the traffic in San Juan is increasing in large numbers due to the cycling of cruise schedules. I hear that one of the cruise lines fronted the PR govt a bunch of money to rebuild the port, then the PR govt raised docking fees etc so the cruise line re-routed all of their ships for several years. Has anyone snorkeled around Buck Island in St Croix? My wife and I want to try it but have heard varying reports.
