this company is rated number 1, you can contact them directly just google MantaSOS

this is the tour description, taken from their site

our first stop will be "The fish market", we will see how all the fish for homes and restaurants are been brought in and how the living of the fishermen is in Manta.

then we will visit "The boatyard", were you will be captivated by the beauty of these master pieces, after we will be heading to "Montecristi";This town is located 15 minutes from Manta, known by the "Montecristi" hats. This city has become an icon for Ecuadorians, many visitors come to see how the "Montecristi" hats are woven; also we will visit Ciudad Alfaro, a complex that was built in order to honor our ex president Eloy Alfaro, who regardless of being a wealthy man, he fought agains the inequality in 1895, and where we singned our last constitution in 2008.

Finally we will go to (Pile the origen of Toquilla hats) or "Pacoche forest" or the rain forest; were we will experience the micro climate caused by the meeting of the Humboldt current and the Nino current; you will also see wild nature in this protected area, howler monkeys, panthers, sloths, and more.

duration of the tour 4 to 5 hours.

Ask us to take you to the "food court" in Montecristi to try our fresh coffee.

Duration of the this activity: Approximate 5 hours.

    Warning:

Pacoche, has a medium grade of difficulty

35% of the path is uneven, and requires to wear running shoes; no recommended to people with walking problems.

Fee per group $20 is not included, and given directly to the ranger a the forest.

  2. In reviewing my tours for the world cruise, Manta Ecuador has slipped through the cracks. Earlier I had sent some e-mails but never heard from anyone. There was a national park tour that sounded interesting. Does anyone have tour operator recommendations? Anything at all will be helpful at this point. We leave in 5 days!

    Thanks!
