  1. You can see the shows and costumes in many videos on YouTube.

Depends on whether your kid is used to seeing women's naked butts being whisked and wiggled about.

Why not take him to something more authentic and less titillating?

Yes after reading more - I think more authentic would be way better! Will be looking for that!

  2. Question for those that have seen the cabaret shows - are they appropriate for a 12 year old? Our son will be with us - and the ship excursions to the cabaret's say 13 or older - but are they really that risque??

    TIA

  3. We are headed on Escape Christmas week......

We are not in the Haven but are on a casino rate and have 5 in our party. Can we use that same email to try to get better times than what we have which is 9:30 every night and couldn't get into Bayamo at all...

When I called they told me I would have no problem booking right when we get on board as well - but now I'm a bit nervous especially being Christmas week and other Escape people saying booked when they got on board??? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!!!

  4. I've been to the Baths many times when I lived on St Thomas, one of my favorite places on earth, and was just there a few weeks ago on the Escape.

The Baths were terribly crowded, with just enough time to get through the trail & spend about 20 minutes at the beach. All in all, not a wonderful experience. It was very slow going with the crowd. If beach time is your objective, boat & snorkel to the baths or at the very least, go up & down the Devil's Bay trail.

Tortola also has many beautiful beaches, so there are other options. Take a taxi to Brewers or Cane Garden & skip the baths, take a private catamaran or excursion to Jost Van Dyke.

We are going on the Escape on 19th - so stopping in Tortola. We have not been there before - there are 5 of us, myself, husband, 11 yr old boy, and father (65) and mother (69) - is taking the NCL excursion to the Baths worth it for us timewise etc to enjoy it? If not what is our other best option??

Also - considering St John beach/snorkel excursion in St Thomas.

Figured I'd post this here seeing you are just off Escape! Thanks in advance!!!!

  5. Just off BA in March and I had brought my own and blew a fuse too - and more than once till I figured out that was the culprit - they were fast to reset - so used the built in hairdryer the rest of the time with no issue!

    Have fun!!!!
