  1. We have the day in St John in a couple of weeks on the Carnival Breeze. It is my husband, I and our 9 month old. We'd typically be adventurous but will obviously be toning it down. Does anyone have any suggestions on a particular excursion or beach. We have read that Valley Church beach is nice. The Sting Ray tour through Carnival seems to be for all ages- but has anyone done it with a baby? Thanks in advance.

  2. We are booked on an 8 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean on the Carnival Breeze in January with my (will be) 9 month old son and have already requested a crib. The Carnival rep said it was a metal portable crib based on what she was was reading but I thought I'd read it was a pack and play elsewhere. Does anyone know what it is? Is there a chance of a screw up and no crib?

Also, he will clearly not be potty trained by then so would be in swim diapers. We read about bringing a blow up tub to the pool area. Has anyone done this or have recommendations for water fun for him on the ship?

    Thanks in advance!

  3. My husband and I have decided to go on a cruise in January to the Caribbean, and will be bringing our (will be) 9 month old with us.

We have decided against Disney because we aren't loving their itineraries during the time we have available. So it seems to come down to Carnival or Royal Caribbean. The pro of Carnival seems to be the ability to get a bigger suite for cheaper and the potential for babysitting until 1am. The pro of RCCL seems to be toy lending and ability to use the splash pad in a swim diaper and (we think) a better boat.

We are pretty active, our son is used to coming with us to a variety of activities in his carrier, and we love good food.

What would you do if you were us? Thanks in advance!
