In case anyone sees an offer on the Carnival website to purchase a thermal suite pass on the Venezia: there is no thermal suite on the Venezia. If you click on the offer it will say it's not available. If you phone them -- at least this is what happened last time -- they tell you you'll have to purchase it on board. When you ask about it on board, that's when you learn there is no thermal suite 🙂 Just a heads-up in case anyone is misled, as I was on the previous Venezia cruise.Â

Is our sailing sold out? I don’t see it listed on the Carnival website.
I think it must be -- I don't see it either.Â

Aww too bad! The Terrazza Carnevale area sounds like it’s open to the public at night. I don’t think you’re missing much.Â
I hope you got a better location (mid deck, mid ship).
Deck 6, forward. As long as the theater isn't too loud at night it should be ok 🙂Â

wow congrats on the assignment!Turned out I misinterpreted what I saw — the “Your stateroom” page opened to that class of cabin but we actually just got a regular interior.Â

We had "sail-away interior" and got a Terrazza Carnivale interior room -- sounds nice. Has anyone had one of these rooms before?Â
Actually I might have misunderstood -- it might be a regular interior. The website pops up with a description of the Terrazza room but if I dig a bit I don't find any evidence that our room is actually in that category.Â

UPDATE: I finally coaxed it into getting me to the right page. Very slow and didn't seem to know whether I was logged in or not.Â

I'm trying to go to "Manage my cruise" on the Carnival site and it's just "Waiting..." and spinning. Has anyone else had problems getting the site to work recently?Â

@tristatetravelguywhat a fun way to celebrate a birthday.

As a seasoned Venezia cruiser, any tips on must do’s while on the ship?

Nothing very specific comes to mind. We didn't do a lot of the "official" activities but really liked the ship. My husband had been skeptical about larger ships (we've mostly been on the NCL Jewel class and smaller), but he ended up liking it a lot. I've been on the NCL Pearl in the interim so that may be blotting out my memory of some of the details 🙂 but we did enjoy the Venezia and we're looking forward to coming back.Â

Looking forward to what will be our second cruise on Venezia, and our first New Year's cruise ever. And it starts the day after my husband's 70th birthday, so sort of a birthday celebration cruise too!Â

Does anyone know whether there's a library on board? I saw somewhere that all Carnival ships have them, but the only one I saw online was the kids' one. Mainly looking for the possibility of a nice quiet space, rather than books.Â

David & David from New Jersey. We just booked on this cruise -- we've done versions of the Canada/NE itinerary several times but this is our first cruise on Carnival.Â
