  1. I booked a private dune buggy tour through this company. I emailed them multiple times and they never responded to any of my emails. Since they never responded I was worried they wouldn't show up the day of the tour so I ended up canceling the excursion 2 days before our cruise left and booked with a different company. I got an email the next day confirming my reservation and details on where/what time to meet. They completely ignored my cancellation email. So although I did not actually go on an excursion with this company I would be cautious because they were horrible with communicating before the excursion.

  2. Just got back from a Western Caribbean Cruise on the Norwegian Jewel. My fiancé and I got engaged a couple months before the cruise, so we wanted to take some engagement pictures while on our cruise. I had a hard time finding who to contact to schedule this. I had read a review that photographers on the ship will go to beaches or other excursions (ex: Mayan Ruins) to take pictures for free (pricy to buy them though). Eventually I ended up getting in touch with a Perspective Studio photographer onboard the Jewel. I told her I wanted to take pictures on a beach. We were given several options and decided on West Bay Beach in Roatan. From there nothing went smoothly. We met right off the cruise ship. There was a 2nd photographer and another family that joined us. We took 2 separate taxis. The photographer we were with in the cab had never been there and did not know where we were going. We ended up getting dropped off at the complete opposite end of the beach than the other photographer (which ended up costing us much more than we expected to pay for the taxi and to be on the beach). Since they had no means to communicate with each other we ended up waiting around close to an hour before deciding to walk to the other end of the beach to look for the rest of the group. We found them there. We took some pictures and then one of the photographers had to leave to meet a 3rd group (which they never found). One photographer was good, the other not so much. We were also told when booking that we would be able to spend the rest of the day at the beach after pictures, but once we got to the beach the photographers wanted to leave much earlier than my fiancé and I did. Since we were sharing a cab we had to leave with them, so we only got about 30 minutes to relax on the beach. A couple days after we took the pictures we viewed them in the studio. Afterwards they gave us the price options. Your only options are to purchase 15, half or all of the photos (and they are not cheap). We also had a promotion where we got 2 free 8x10prints. We were told they would be ready after 10pm that night. Well they weren't. We were then told they would be delivered to our room. Woke up the next morning, which was the day we were getting off the ship, and they still weren't there. We ended up complaining to the manager. Overall if you want pictures in a unique place using the ship photographers is a good option, but don't expect good service and plan on it taking up most of your day at the port even though the actual pictures only take 30-45min. It was all very unorganized which was a huge disappointment and frustration.

  3. Just wondering if anyone has done the dune buggy & snorkel tour with NCL or with cozumelcruiseexcursions.net. I booked with cozumelcruiseexcursions.net because they have good reviews on tripadvisor, but after researching it a little more I'm not sure if it is a trustworthy company. I'm considering booking with NCL for the dune buggy tour and just losing my deposit for the other company to avoid the risk. Let me know if anyone has done either of these excursions and your thoughts on them!
