I always bring one, just make sure to unplug it, and put it away after use. I've never had a problem.

Really?
I think across the board the new menus are worst that the old ones.
Both the mussels and the lamb in Le Bristro are case in point.

Agree! I found Le Bistro to be sorely lacking in quite a few things on their new menu. [emoji848][emoji20]

They're trying to figure out what to do with all the water confiscated at check-in.

I have been going on a cruise in January for the past couple of years, and that roof has always been an issue. It never seems to work right. We are leaving in a couple of weeks for our cruise, and I don't have to worry about it.....no Haven this time....a two bedroom suite on the 11th floor is just fine!!!!:):)

Just returned from a trip to Bermuda on the Breakaway sailing of Oct 2 thru Oct 9, and my husband had fantastic steamed Maine Lobster in Ocean Blue. He is very picky, and he said it was delicious. It was absolutely on the menu at that time two weeks ago. :)

Hmmmm...we are on the same cruise, but we are staying closer to the city, and didn't receive a phone call, as they probably don't have our cell numbers. Good to know.

We had a UBP and a SDP, and we didn't lose them in the upgrade on the BA...Spa mini suite to Haven Spa suite. We were told we wouldn't receive the other promos though, like free Wi Fi.....still a sweet deal.
-
That is a great price.....we just upgraded to a Haven Spa suite on the BA, from a mini spa suite, for $500 a person.

DH and I are going to Bermuda on the BA on Oct 2. We were orginially in a spa balcony, then we went to a spa mini suite which came in at a little over 3K.
Two days ago, we were offered a Haven Spa Suite for $500 more pp. We took it, because we really enjoy the Haven on the Gem, this will be a first for us, having never been on the BA or a fan or gigantic ships. The last price we received though, we called the upsell dept for. We had received an e-mail offering a Haven Spa suite for $750 pp more. That was a no...We too our chances, made the call and were lucky. Can't wait to see what it's like!!!

I feel your pain!!! Hubby and I took a cruise a few years ago, when the Pride of Hawaii (now the Jade) was doing the Hawaiian Islands. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom PH, and thought it couldn't get any better!!! What luck!!! WRONG......we were directly below the weight room, which happened to opened 24 hours a day, and all night, (who does this??) weights were being dropped on the floor. Not only were we getting the loud BOOM, but also, the walls vibrated, we were offered ear-plugs.....What a joke. Finally, after a few days of complaining, (and I am not a complainer, either) they closed the weight room at 11pm, and reopened at 6am. We now check what is below and above us. I wonder who designs the plans for the ship layout? Sadists??? LOL

If you LOVE to take baths, as opposed to showers, it absolutely is....and you do get a small amount of extra space, which is ALWAYS a plus. We have had several mini-suites, and now, being of a certain age, I find that getting in and out of the tub, more of a pain. It really is a personal choice, but whatever you choose, I am sure you will love!!! Happy anniversary, and have a great cruise!!! :)

Kids on cruises are hardly the problem. It is often the parents who do not discipline their precious "little darlings" when need be!
Agree! We spent a fortune to be in the haven, there were at least 8 kids there, split between three separate groups of parents. All related. The parents were as bad, or worse than, their kids. I would never spend that kind of money to stay in the Haven again. Even staff was complaining......

Coke would be so great....... I wouldn't have to bring a case with me!
Coke is it!!!!!
YEP!!! Tired of carrying a case of COKE on board!!!

Since they did away with the Chocoholic Buffet, I think they should at least leave the tea alone!! ;) Just Sayin'

Thanks Suite Traveler for the video.
Lori, I did a search for photos and could not find them. I believe there is a website that has photos, but I can't remember it.
Barbara and Steve.....
So you are the ones who took that suite on January 12th! :)
That is the date I wanted to cruise and settled for the 22nd in order to get that specific
cabin :D
Thanks for the information.
Did you find the suite smaller than most suites on NCL ships? Our Aft-Facing Suite on the STAR was kind of small compared to others on the ship. Perhaps that is true of all aft-facing cabins on NCL.
I was hoping it was "wrap around" balcony so I could see the side as well, but it is not.
Thanks again for the info and Happy Cruising.
Don
PS: I believe your date (year)is incorrect on your signature...should be 2016
Don,
Sorry about "Stealing" your room!!! LOL!!! But it was fantastic!! I don't about the size difference, we have never had suites on other NCL ships.... and no......no wrap-around deck, BUT....it is an awesome size, with two loungers, a table and two chairs......Really private, and no wind....very nice!!! BTW, thanks for letting me know about the wrong date for my Jan 12, 2016 cruise! (did I steal that from you again????) :D

Just left that cabin on Weds!!! Had a fantastic time, the suite is still in good shape, the lounges on the balcony are wicker, be sure to ask for the chair pads, they make all the difference. The reason they don't leave them on is the soot from the smoke stacks. Be careful if you leave articles of clothing out there to dry! Other than that, it is a wonderful, private suite, and we, in fact, booked it again for next January 12!!! Have a wonderful vacation!!

The price you pay for haven access is way too much. The haven is nice but hardly worth what NCL charges. It only takes a couple of unruly kids in the haven to make the peace and quiet disappear for the week.
Agreed...........

I have a cruise booked on the Jewel in Feb, and have NEVER gone out of Houston....we are flying in from CT, and was wondering if there is anyplace in port to buy bottled water to take on the ship??? Thanks!! :)

I agree..........we took a cruise in the Haven in January, and there were lots of unruly kids, and uncaring parents. Was impossible to sit in the courtyard and enjoy yourself. Haven again? NEVER.......will go back to aft PH's.

My DH and I are both Platinum, and we each received a lovely pleather atlas......I just received my second one.......Really NCL???? You have to stop sending them to us!!!!!
-
Oops!! :D Just checked with DH, spa pass was $189.......that makes it even MORE worth it!!!
Would you cancel due to Coronavirus?
