Wondering if anyone has done this excursion.
Is it worth doing or is staying on the cruise ship good enough??

I am looking to purchase my first dive camera and need some help. I would like to buy a solid camera with a great housing for under $1,000. I was looking at the Olympus E-PL5 with the PT-EP10 housing.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? If diving only in tropical waters to 100ft do I need a strobe for pictures?

Does anyone have a great private tour outfit for a group of 4 that wants to see the island but make the tour custom to what we want?
What was the price?

For Dominica I highly recommend ALDIVE. Samantha and Billy will take great care of you well, and make diving from the cruise easy. They'll pick you up at (and return you to) the port, and show you a great time.

Denver, CO
Thanks Harris. I will look into them.

Sounds like you may be on the carnival cruise I am on too. I am diving in St croix, grenada, bonaire and curacao. Let me know if you want names of ops I found.
Yep, we have exchanged some info on the "roll call" chain. Looks like my group will be diving:
St. Croix
Dominica
Bonaire
Curacao
Not sure which outfits yet.

I am cruising next Feb. 2016 and all the islands look great to dive, but if I had to choose 4 or 5, which ones are can't miss spots?
Puerto Rico (staying a few days prior to trip)
St. Croix
St. Maarten
Dominica
Grenada
Bonaire (this one for sure)
Aruba
Curacao

Is the attire at both Chef's table and 150 central park formal? or will nice slacks and a button up shirt for the guys be ok?
You would be fine with slacks and a nice button shirt. I wore the same but also saw suits and even a tux or two (the tux was at 150. Everyone at chef's table were in slacks and nice button ups and some with jackets). But most everyone was in slacks and a nice shirt.

yes please
Sure. Here you go. I had the Lamb (amazing) and my DW had the tuna (kinda bland)

I'd like to know what the menu was and how you enjoyed it. I am sailing on 4/25/15
Which menu are you looking for? 150 Central Park?

I hope you felt that they had a positive impact on your cruise and perhaps someone else either on your cruise or a later cruise can provide their names.
Thanks for replying!
They were both great...I just never take the time to remember the names of the directors or officers or Capitan. I should really start doing that though.

do you need reservations for vintages? if so can I make reservation on ship? I do not see it as a dining option on my dining reservation page for April 4th cruise. Maybe it is sold out ?
You can just walk into Vintages. Never really busy at all. There was maybe 2 other tables while we were in there.

Who was the Cruise Director and the Activity Manager on board during your cruise?
I unfortunately never got their names.

we are soon to go on oasis, My husband and I. We have MTD for formal nite and a few other nights. I was wondering if you can remember about what time you went to dinner on the day you went to Falmouth and on the formal night. Because I have read that the wait time can be over 30 minutes at times. But i think it depends on when you go as your wait was not to bad.
Also , do they have beer available at Vintages/ Im the wine drinker and husband likes the beer, but we both like tapas. Thanks for any information you can give.:)
If I recall we ate around 8:00-8:30, no later. If you have just you and your husband it goes really quick; large parties will take longer.
I did not check on beers at Vintages but they were so nice if you ask they would probably find your husband a few.

I too love the picture of the old fort.
Do you remember where on Labadee it is?
Been there 5 x and being a creature of habit did not see this and would love too.
Thanks
Love your thread
Kinda hard to explain, I would say it's on the way to the Nellie's Beach area just past the private member area. Hope that helps.

What are the best excursions for Sitka,Juneau and Ketchikan???????
in Alaska
Posted
My DW and I need some help. What in your opinion are the best excursions in each town? We like nature, animals and adventure. Cost is no object if it's worth it. We don't really like on/off bus tours or ones where you have to wait on stragglers to get moving again.
This is a Celebrity cruise but I think for the most part, all the cruise ships offer about the same things.
We're thinking maybe "Dog sledding adventure on the Norris Glacier by helicopter" in Juneau.
In Sitka the "Salmon sport-fishing."
In Ketchikan maybe do the "Celebrity discovery collection: Wildlife cruise and seafood sampling."
Any thoughts on these or others we should consider instead?
