Thank you!  I did a 5 night with 3 of my girlfriends last oct and I got every picture We took , I think it was about 180 with D+ discount. This was a 5 nighter.

Does anyone know the cost, of the photo packages , my sister has never been on a cruise and I’m taking her for her 50 Birthday.  Thought it would be fun if we take a bunch of pictures together since we rarely see each other.

DH commented that soon RCI will install pay toilets in your stateroom...and if it ever gets clogged, you'll get the plumbers bill for coming to fix it!

This could be more of an issue-- I would not let it get this far. Do I need to say again to call??? They will honor the price. I've got two cruises booked under Z category, neither of which was available on the website to single cruisers. But I now have confirmed prices. Not difficult. (You do need to call during regular business hours Mon-Friday)

This was on the phone with 2 different agents neither would budge.:confused:

I have sailed solo on RCI 10 times, and have 5 more booked. Including 4 on Anthem. I have never paid over what 2 persons have paid, and most times pay 175%. This includes my cruises on Anthem. They do reduce my diamond balcony discount to reflect the cost which is lower than 200%. I sail in balcony or Junior Suites, so I don't know if that makes a difference.

 

Example of some of my cruises booked.

January 15, 2016 D7 solo 2355.46 2 persons 3236.92

March 7, 2016 D6 solo 2843.18 2 persons 3922.36

October 20, 2016 D1 solo 2693.02 2 persons 2885.04 (same as 2 persons less tax port charges)

Not sure either this was going to be a last minute booking, we normally sail together , and haven't had this problem, I just don't think it's fair for anyone sailing solo to pay more than what they would charge 2 people.

It's the principle of it! That all , a single cruiser already gets the shaft by having to pay the double occupancy price , they should NOT have to PAY more than the double.

And of course this is my opinion an I'm not even the one going just was doing the booking LOL.

Read the *....prices are based on DOUBLE occupancy! Everything about pricing says that! I don't know why folks get so upset about this! ON everything it states the price of a cabin is for 2 people.

 

Perhaps the cruise lines should simply state that the price of a cabin is, say $500, for UP TO 2 PEOPLE!!!

Less occupants = less onboard Revenue.

 

Doesn´t matter anyway, as OP already made their choice to rant here and then walk away from RCI.

The fact that I usually donate a couple grand to their casino every cruise hardly makes for less revenue, i could go on but not going to get in a bashing match.

It's the principle of the thing they should not charge one person more than they would 2 that's messed up. An I'm not one to post an run away! Been here a long time.

So just book yourself and a fictional person in the cabin and have the fictional person not show up on boarding day. Taxes will be refunded.

Bully does a wonderful job of showing you the island:) we used him a couple years ago an loved his tour. Keep in mind to book him early cause he can only take 5 people in his taxi Aruba law .

On September 1, 2009, the Aruban Government has increased the hourly taxi rate to $45 per hour. That is per car, up to a maximum of 5 persons.

We will be in Aruba in April on a cruise that stops there, we are going to try to reserve Bully, How long would a good tour of the Island take? We are there from 7-4. Not sure how long to reserve him for. Would a cab with 5 be over crowded? There will be 3 of us an I was thinking of inviting another couple but dont want to be crowded.:confused:

Radio, next time your in Jamacia, you really should check out the Sunset Grande, we were there last year about 30 of us from the Mariner, what a great time we all had very beautiful resort swim up bars, several 5-6 pools a huge water slide. We did the all inclusive which included lunch and all you could drink. You will love this place.;)

Have they changed their policy recently,about combining perks?
