I know about the $15 limit. What drinks come close to the $15 bar that you enjoy? (All pun intended) I trying to do some of the breakeven math. (All pun intended)

Other than the main dining room, where can you get the fresh squeezed OJ?
You can not use the beverage packages for room service. -
If you are in port does Royal Caribbean allow you to tour their other ships? Do any of the other cruise lines let you tour their ships?

Heading out on March 22nd on the Adventure. Any reputable places with deals in Bridgetown, Barbados, Castries, St. Lucia, St. Johns, Antigua or Philipsburg, St. Maarten?

21+ Family of 4 coming in on the Adventure of the Seas in March. We loved Cosol last year but are looking for something to do on the cheap. From my research I could not find any excursions or places to take a taxi that seemed reasonable. I would greatly appreciate your recommendations.

We were on the carnival valor last year and booked a trip from a tour company. I can't remember the name, it was about $100 snorkle gear included. Look at the st thomas forum and I am sure you will find it. You got right off the cruise ship and took a fast ferry for 45 mins. Then they had free transport to trunk bay in open truck taxi's. Only bad part was that they wanted to stop for pictures and take
We've chartered a sailboat privately twice from Red Hook to St. John (Caneel Bay). We've never had a problem making the journey to / from port. The Captains operating the charters are well aware of the cruise ship schedule.
I wholeheartedly recommend privately chartering if you want to spend a memorable day.

Do they still have the 9:30PM event on the first day for Voyager Class ships where they give out liquor samples? They did this as a way to convince passengers to purchase bottles to bring back home with them home. If so, any idea what they are sampling these days?

I was just reading a review on the Adventure of the seas cruise critic section where the writer said the casino was paying out like crazy. Are there any nights or days or machines that pay out more from your experiance?

Anyone have the Cigar Menu? Do that hassle you if you bring your own sticks?

Don't purchase any Invicta watches the pro diver was going for $250 and you can pick it up on Amazon for $83
One tip I could give that I use would be if you are interested in cologne or perfume to price out the different sizes prior to leaving with your local stores. Sometimes the deals are meant to look like a huge savings when in fact they are only a couple of dollars difference. Watches on board as well can be tricky as my FIL once bought a nice Citizen on board and Kohl's had the same watch cheaper on sale. Sometimes it is nice to purchase such items to constantly remind you about the wonderful trip you had when you purchased it. My favorite purchase from cruise would be hands down a painting of the Charlotte Amalie harbour we purchased directly from the artist in the downtown area. -
What is DOD?
1. at the boring shopping shows they sometimes sell a small binder for $30 with $30 off a spa treatment AND a sticker for buy one, get one free DOD for the entire cruise. as many as u want. Unlimited. never ending.oh and you can order a very nice cheese tray from the MDR to go. good for late night snack after DOD special above.

My personal feeling about the Midnight Buffet, from my very first cruise on Navigator in 2004, was 'over indulgence'. Let's face it, we had eaten only a few hours ago. I would rather have a 'deck party' to enjoy during the late hours, since when we are on a cruise we seem to manage to stay up MUCH MUCH later than we ever stay up at home. It is amazing!
I will be on Allure, June 2014 to see for myself.
I remember being on the Navigator in 2004. My dad and I were the only people eating the caviar at the midnight buffet. We actually posted up on than end of the table. They had a 1/2 kilo of beluga, we probably ate $2000 worth. Wish other people would have eaten it. Shame that don't have it any more.

Yes, it is a per-cabin charge of $3.95, between the hours of midnight and 5 am. This was implemented as a service charge (not a tip) to discourage passengers from ordering a lot of food late at night, and then not answering the door. You may tip a few dollars if you wish.
Sounds like I need to order at 11:45 and save a sandwich for late night. Dam kids falling asleep on the room service staff, lol

Was reading this menu, going on the Adventure March 22nd. I noticed this:
*Late night service charge applies
Does anyone know the times or the fee?

Are there any other freebies or upgrades you have been successful in acquiring from the regular concierge?

People have reported being able to get only the milkshake. However, you need to tell them up front, before they seat you, because they will quickly serve you fries and onion rings when you sit down.
Are the burgers any better than the wind jammer or dining room? Do they offer breakfast?
-
Other than the coffee the PP works perfect for me. It is cheaper for me to go and buy for coffee than for me to pay another $10 a day for the coffee pkg. Coffee is $3.50 a day. so just pay as I go.
What does the fresh squeezed oj go for these days?
I could drink:
2 specially coffees at breakfast
1 OJ
1 specially coffees with dessert

Enchantment has Cafe Latte-Tudes for specialty coffee.
What do the coffees and teas cost so we can factor that into our does the package make dollars/cents calculators?

What are most of the gentleman wearing for formal night these days? When we were on carnival last March most people were getting away with button downs and some threw on a coat. When I was on RC last in 2008, do I remember suits were the norm?
