  1. You can always call DCL and ask them what the dining rotations are going to be for your cruise and they can tell you and you can request one of the rotations. I’ve done this for almost all my cruises and I’ve always received the dining rotation that I requested. I’ve also asked for a table for 2 for my cruises and have received that as well. I’m sure having the later dinner seating also played a part in me receiving my requests.

  2. So I am taking my mother on a Seabourn cruise in a few days and was wondering if they have bingo sessions on Seabourn. My mom is not one for the casino but loves to play bingo on cruises. I figured they would have it on sea days like most cruises I have been on. Thanks for helping me out with this.

  3. I’m on the same cruise as you. Can’t believe it is next Sunday! My understanding is you can fill out the ArriveCan before you leave but it is not required. It is supposed to save time at customs if you use it but I’m not sure how. There are kiosks that you can use at customs to fill out the form so I guess if you do the form before you arrive, you skip the kiosks. 🤷 We are bringing our vaccine forms just in case but I know they are not needed. Other than that, just passports.

  4. That’s great, Papaflamingo (cool name, btw)! Since this is our first Regent cruise, I was just a little freaked out about the email as you could tell by my post. With the craziness that this year’s summer travel is going to be plus the stories of cruise lines being overbooked, I was a little verklempt. I’ve gone back to normal now with the help of people like you letting me know it will be fine. Thanks!

  5. OK, so now Regent has me worried that they have overbooked my cruise that is coming up on June 11th out of Montréal. I received an email this morning from my TA with an offer to move my Canada/Bermuda cruise on a “voluntary basis” to one of three Canada cruises this Fall and I would get the Fall cruise for the same price that I paid plus up to $2,880 in cash back per suite if we moved. Cash back offer is dependent on which of the 3 cruises you choose. One cruise pays less. I attached photos of said offer. This is my first Regent cruise so I’m not familiar with their email offers before sailing but this pretty much says, “we have overbooked this cruise and need people to switch out of it or we are going to have to cancel some of you if we don’t get enough volunteers.” I’m sure many of you, like me, have heard the stories of the cruise lines overbooking this summer and now cancelling people’s cruises because they aren’t getting enough volunteers to move. This has me worried as I booked a discounted fare (I work in the airline industry so I’m familiar with the overbooking process) and feel that I will be one of the first to be cancelled. We are literally a week and a half away from sailing!! Moving my cruise is not an option!!! I do have insurance on the cruise but money has been spent on airfares and hotels, etc. The hotel in Montréal is refundable until the 8th, thank goodness. I’m sooo looking forward to this cruise and have had it booked for 6 months and been eagerly awaiting it and now I’m completely stressed that we will get cancelled! UGH!!

Thanks for letting me vent. 😳😤

And as I was typing this, I received another email with another cruise offer but much less money offer but with an upgrade to a penthouse suite. I’m already in a penthouse suite on my cruise. Lol

  6. Ours is at 12:30pm. Everything i have read states that we must be off the ship by 9am. I'm sure we will be off the ship by 8:30 at the very latest and customs usually goes pretty quick these days getting off of cruise ships I'm not sweating it too much. Now ask me if I'm sweating it on disembarkation day. I'm sure I will be then. LOL

  7. I’m sailing on Regent for the first time in June on the Navigator and our cruise ends in NYC. I was wondering about the Regent airport transfer service. Does anyone now how soon the Regent shuttles start departing once the ship is cleared and we can disembark? Are they large buses like the other ships use for transfers that they wait to fill up and then leave or if they actually have set departure times for the airports? I’m just trying to decide if we want to use their shuttle or just book a car service to LaGuardia. Also, if anyone has used a car service from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal, is it easy to find your driver?
