  1. My DD is a water polo player and she HATES swimming in open water.

She found that her best workout was early in the morning and she swam in the round doughnut lazy river going against the current. No way to really get a count or length but she could feel a workout.

The curve was Kind of a pain but it was the only way to not have to swim in the ocean that week.

Again you have to go early like 7 before the kids and everyone else starts showing up. The pools are so small that even if you are the only one in there its not enough strokes to give a workout. Great to work on your flip turns :-)

    Thank you :)

  2. I've read there's 21 pools on the Allure.

Are any of them bigger pools where you can swim/exercise?

    When do the pools "open"?

At what time do you have to be outside to get a decent bed by the pools where the kids will be playing?

Are there any pools you would recommend/stay away from?

Silly question, but what do you wear when going to and from the pool to the cabin? What about on your feet?

  3. My twin girls and I will board the Allure on our birthday (yes, they were born on my birthday :).

Anyone know if that will get the girls some attention? (I'm not equally keen on attention for getting one year older...)

    Should we tell someone?

  4. I found this link to shows on the Allure: http://media.royalcaribbean.com/content/en_US/pdf/showtimes/showtimes_AL.pdf

But I can't find western route on March 22nd 2015. It the list for another year?

Is it better to book online before we go, or do it on the ship?

About dining... If I got it right there's traditional dining and my time dining.

But what does that really mean?

If we choose traditional dining, do we eat at the same restaurant all meals? Same time every night? Just dinner? Do you have to notify someone if you want to eat another place?

And what is my time dining? How does it work?

  5. Thank you for the answers, I'll probably have a lot of questions if we book.

Tidygirl: I'm sure a cruise in the Med would be great, but we want to see more of Florida when we go. We're thinking 7 days cruise, 4-7 days Key West, and about a week in Orlando.

It'll be an experience of a lifetime :)

Just have to look a bit more on the finances first :-|

  6. I'm new to all of this, and have never been on a cruise before.

We're traveling all the way from Norway to Florida to make this dream come true.

We have been looking at Allure and Oasis..

    Questions to start with:

-What time do you have to be there to start checking in?

-We're a family of four, twins 9 yrs old. Should we get a "drink-package" or just pay for what we drink? We hardly ever drink alcohol, so it will be soft drinks and water. What does the package cost? What does bottles of water cost?

We haven't booked the trip yet, is there a website or any other way you can get discounts?

I'll be grateful for all answers and other tips :)
