Cruising on Carnival Conquest in August out of Fort Lauderdale. Would we make a 10:45 am flight the day we get back? The cruise comes back on a monday if that makes a difference. Also how long of a taxi ride is it from the port to the airport? TIA:)

Recommendations would still be the same as are posted above. As mentioned the carnival lot is near a housing project but it is a fully fenced and roving security while cars are parked there. T

I would look around BWI as the others have said. Way cheaper then DC hotels. As far as getting to norfolk I would do amtrak but come in the night before the cruise. There is a Marriot hotel a quarter mile from the cruise terminal. The Marriot is also less then a mile from the Amtrak Station.
