There are no outlets by the bed on Volendam. Depending on the room, your nearest outlet may be on the same wall (Neptune Suite) or across the room from the bed (veranda cabin). We requested an extension cord and a gallon of distilled water from HAL weeks before boarding and both were in our room when we arrived. Some of the rooms, like a veranda, only have one outlet... period. Bring a non-surge protected multi-outlet with you so you can use the CPAP and charge your phone etc. at the same time.

I read all the negative reviews prior to sailing Volendam in July so I was looking for the 'bad things'. They simply didn't exist. It's a wonderful small ship. The food was good and the service was great! For an older ship it does have its oddities like fewer outlets in cabins but the public spaces look modern/updated and the ship has a really nice vibe. Would sail her again.
