  1. Hello,

We have a room booked in the Family Harbour. I just read that with that, kids can eat free in certain restaurants. Does anyone know if the Bonsai Teppanyaki is part of this? I have it reserved and paid for 2 adults and 2 kids, wondering if I have to call to adjust the pricing if the kids are supposed to be free.

    Thank you,

  2. A similar experience happened to us for our Christmas Cruise. My husband had to have surgery in November which led him unable to walk for an extended period of time. We had not purchased insurance either. With a doctors note, we were able to get some money refunded and some money for future cruise credit. We did lose a small amount but with the Doctor's note provided and many many phone calls, we were able to get more than we would have without.

  3. We just found out that my husband needs to go for another surgery on his tibia and fibula this month. We are supposed to sail December 31st with our two young kids however, I don’t think this will be possible.

Will Royal allow me to switch sail dates and only pay the price difference?

I am thinking no. We didn’t buy any type of insurance and our cruise is paid in full. Are we ***** out of luck to get a credit, switch sailings or get a refund?

I will be calling tomorrow, just figured I would ask here first to see others experiences.

  4. Hello,

My family and I are sailing on Serenade of the Seas on December 31st. I understand that my under 3 year old will have to be in the pay per hour kids area. My question is, can my 4 year old go in there with him or is he only allowed in the area for 4+?

    Thank you,

  5. I’m not sure as I had the drink package. FYI though, they aren’t made with fresh fruits. There are some fresh fruits but I had a banana and strawbery smoothie, the banana was fresh but the strawberry was just a think juice from a container. Probably the same thing they use to make slushie drinks. 🤢. You might enjoy it though but I did not.

I would hope they notify those who get an upgrade at least enough in advance so  when they drop off their luggage they have the correct stateroom numbers on their tags.

The 48 hour statement sounds like a little close to me.

Could be a problem for those who may not have access to their emails for a few days before sail date..

    Murphy's Luggage Law.

We got notified while we were travelling so did not get a chance to reprint our tags. The porter didn’t look at a list (not sure if he had one) we just told him our room number. When we got to our room though, the envelopes had the wrong names. I still opened the envelope and our correct seapass cards were in it. In the room, one page also had the wrong name on it.

  7. Hi,

We got the ultimate drink package for our upcoming cruise. I am wondering what the limit is for a glass of wine? More importantly, is there Kim Crawford and is it included? 😬

    What about wines in Vintages?

Also wondering about the wine tastings that they do in Vintages, what is the cost? We have done the « Wines around the world » that they do in the dining room. Hoping the tasting in Vintages is a better experience.

  8. I just spoke with my travel agent again. We would have to pay about 600$ EACH to upgrade and it would be Carnival's pick. For sure a balcony but it could be anywhere on the ship. She also said it could be an obstructed view...

I'm not sure why I was led to believe there weren't many left-the lady she spoke to now just told her she couldn't tell her how many were left !

For that price and to potentially get an obstructed view, I really need to sleep on it lol.
