  1. Love reading your posts....very informative. I know what you mean about Dubrovnik...lovely spot but if you walked the wall I feel your pain. Wonderful, wonderful views thankfully make up for the walk and stairs.

we are on the Rivera end of November..can I please ask you about the bathroom. We have sailed on the Marina but we can’t recall the bathroom. Are the tubs separate from the shower or is it  combo? As well, wonder if there are grab bars to steady oneself while getting in the shower?

Many many thanks if you can reply to my questions.

Look forward to reading the rest of your posts...most enjoyable.

  2. We have just returned from the March 28th Caribbean Hideaways sailing on Rivera. We were in concierge room 9089. Absolutely everything was amazing! (Our first ever cruise!) We kept seeing this room on the 7th floor with an extended, two open side railing balcony. On the day we disembarked we were able to actually go in and see the room. We decided Tom"go down a level" and ask for this room. We are booked for next March on the Mayan Mystique sailing. Our thinking is that we will enjoy the left side open railing and the extra seating. Thanks for those photos! I'm not sure I understand the lack of privacy downside..no one can see in our stateroom...just the balcony. We are dressed when we decide to go out on the balcony! Thanks again!

    Hi,

Hope you can help us out..been looking at the comments for the extended balcony cabins. We have been offered 7116 on Riviera ..has an extended balcony. How is the noise? As well..from what pics I could see looked like some have loungers..

Anyone had this cabin before and your input or pics would be appreciated greatly.

    Cheers

  3. OBC

    Hi,

Thought would ask the question here since it’s sort in same vein of discussion.

Can you use OBC for specialty dining? We are a group of eight, want to make special night dinner reservation and apparently they need credit card to complete reservation. My husband phoned yesterday and asked if we could use it for shore excursions and the answer was yes..so how come not for specialty dinner? Travel agent is handling this. Not really a deal breaker but just curious.

    Thanks for your help.

  4. I have cruised before but I am new to Disney. We are going I a family cruise including our five grandchildren ages 3-8. I've heard there is a pirate night. When would that be on a seven day cruise. What would girls wear? Are there any other costume dress up occasions? Do we need to reserve a covered cabana on the beach day? How is breakfast handled? If the kids are in an activity programme what happens at lunch? Any other tips? Please help this granny out

  5. Hi, Here are my two cents worth just having come back from a similar cruise beginning of Feb of this year.

We were a group of eight, I researched all the ports etc. and taking the best of the best...we did Brunos tour. Now, we did have Eric and George and all agreed this was the best tour we did. Full, full day that includes the vanilla farm, pearl farm , the great scenery while in the boat and of course the lunch and snorkelling at Coral Gardens. Think we started at just after 8:30, got back to boat at 4 pm...happy, happy ,happy. If I do remember right it was more than 120 US but really it was worth it.

When I started planning this trip I felt quite overwhelmed, but the more I read the more comfortable I became in booking the tours. For Moorea we did Albert and actually had Albert himself, then for Bora Bora it was Reef Discovery. On that tour we had David , great guy, who is from France. Again another great tour....the whole trip was good.

Hope is helps some of you who are doing the planning for this trip.
