My only spacing issue on the ship was on elevators. (Didn’t frequent bars.) I can’t manage walking more than three flights up.. Early in the cruise there would just be a few people on the elevator, all masked, eyeing each other with suspicion. That soon changed to packed elevators with hardly anyone masked.

    I always wore a KN95 mask.

Same here - it's frustrating to be in the elevator and then have more and more people pile in blithely (those of us shoved to the back giving each other looks of annoyance at the others). Kills the mood. In any case, we're all vaxxed on this thing, so hopefully any dangers will be mitigated.

As I mentioned (perhaps in another thread) Joseph was pretty vigilant about masking - and ended up testing positive once in the weeks prior to this cruise (but no symptoms) and then testing negative a week later.  On the other hand, I was much more lax about the masking and distancing and have tested negative throughout.

Yes.   It is an easy walk -  2 miles about a 45 minute walk to top of Las Olas.

Google maps for some reason shows a route that doesn't make much sense at 2.6 miles.

I use the Apple maps --- last time we just took off walking and kept coming to dead ends with no way to cross the canals so used a mapping program on my phone this time.    Most direct is Left on 17th right on  Hwy 1 South Federal Hwy and you will end up at Las Olas.

Totally flat except when crossing the canal which is a mild incline.

There is also a little yellow Sun Trolley in FLL that takes you all around. https://www.suntrolley.com/how-to-ride/how-to-ride-the-trolley/

Did you use the Emed self tests or did you use drug store or lab that sent results to you?

We used Binax tests administered/proctored by Inspire Diagnostics - the ones linked to for U.S. citizens on Celebrity site. We used them for an RCL cruise March 5 and now for this upcoming April 8. We purchased and "registered" the tests while selecting a proctored (zoom meeting) test. The actual testing "stuff" then arrived quickly in the mail.

Stopped by Whole Foods on the way back and had lunch.  The skies started to get dark so went back to the hotel.  Thank God we got back when we did.   A huge deluge hit about 10 minutes after we got back.

Hi there, we are also in FLL, having taken the redeye from L.A. last night. I was wondering where all that gorgeous blue sky and white cloud action was, because we woke up to the storm - just like this, with all the sound effects. We are still hunkered down but time to go out for dinner soon. See you tomorrow!

BTW our Bermuda authorisations came in, very timely.

  5. When we were in Athens last July 2017 that island had a major party scene. An african american young man was chased and beaten to death by serbian bouncers at a sports bar for some selfie taken with a waitress (or other unknown factors) - brutal. It made us leery in Greece, as a mixed american couple. FYI we had no problems, but we are an old married couple, not on the party scene.

  6. We'll be there on the silhouette. You gotta figure people will be working with a ship in port, just not every tour and every single place. See you there!

FYI, I emailed one tour company )Gregory's safari and he had a hike tour available.

Another one I emailed (tangerine tours) said he would get back to me in a few days.
