I heard the beaches are very expensive there.  Did you find that the be true?  When on the beach, are there areas to get food/drinks?

Thank you, I'll keep my eye out for sales.  We also found that flying from Stewart to Dublin is a lot cheaper.  So we are thinking about adding a few days on to the trip and check Ireland off our bucket list 🙂

I keep getting mixed information, so I'm looking for some advice.  We are booked on the Epic July 7-14 out of Barcelona.  The flights right now range from $$790 to $990 on Norwegian and $1100 on United.  Some say to book as soon as possible and some say to wait because prices should drop.  Since we are going in the summer I feel like flights are probably the most expensive then.  Does anyone have any information on when they booked their flights for a summer cruise out of Barcelona?  Thanks in advance.

Thank you all for the information! I ended up booking another H10 hotel, it's the Cassonova. It seems to be more centrally located. Even though this trip isn't until July 2019, I can't wait!!!

We are a family of 5 trying to find a hotel in Barcelona for 2 nights pre-cruise. I've been researching for hours and many of the hotels recommended on CC are already sold out. Has anyone stayed in H10 Marina Barcelona? It looks nice (the pool area is iffy, but I'm finding that many of the European hotels are the same) and the reviews are good. I really want to be in an area where we can leave the hotel and walk to places, but we don't mind taking a taxi if we have to. Any recommendations would be appreciated :-)

Sorry, we are stopping at Falmouth, Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Great Stirrup Cay.

If you're stopping in Costa Maya, you can rent them from $35/half hour at Nacional Beach Club. Many resorts also have them available for rent, instead of doing an excursion.

Unfortunately, we are not stopping at Costa Maya.

Jet skis are available on numerous beaches on Cozumel.

We are doing the Trikes in Cozumel. It will bring us back to the ship at 2:30. Do you know if there are any jet skis close to the port?

We are traveling on the Epic for Christmas and I've looked at all the boards for the ports we are visiting (West Caribbean); I cannot find any info on renting jet skis. Our three daughters really want to do this. Also, we want to do the Trikes Cozumel tour but we don't arrive until 10 so we miss the 930 pick up and the afternoon pick up is 130 coming back at 530; we leave at 6. I feel like that it's cutting it too close; has anyone done this tour? Any feedback would be great, thank you.

we have sailed on Epic 3 times and 4th in April

fabfortysomething, we are sailing the Epic for Christmas and we're so excited! But we keep hearing negative reviews. If you've been on it three times with a fourth coming up you must enjoy the ship. Can you give us any tips, or things we should do or stay away from? Thank you :)

We are leaving on the Epic on December 22nd and are flying into Orlando on December 21st. We are looking for transportation to our hotel (Radisson Resort by the Port). We are two families of 10 people.

This is the Best Thread Ever! My family is going on the Epic for Christmas (and my 50th birthday, 26th) so I cannot wait to try these drinks! I will do my best to make as big a dent as possible in the list ;p Thank you for all the suggestions!!

I feel like it gets such terrible reviews and it's making me nervous (especially the bathroom setup). Any advice you can give would be great :)

We have sailed on the Getaway 3 times and Epic 7 times. We would pick the Getaway,,, hands down.

Why would you pick the Getaway? If you've been on the Epic 7 times, it can't be that bad :)

The Epic Christmas cruise is quite a bit cheaper than the Getaway. We've sailed on both ships and liked both of them. Given the cost difference, I'd go with the Epic.

The Epic is definitely the better deal cost wise, but I don't know that it's the better ship. My husband loved the Waterfront area on the Breakaway and that is one reason he'd rather go on the Getaway.

getaway was our least favorite ship. id pick the Epic.

What are the reason you'd pick the Epic?

If you are doing a regular cabin, the Getaway. If you are doing the Haven, I would probably do the Epic. We liked the Epic Haven so much better than the Getaway Haven, though I think the Getaway is the better ship.

We have a balcony cabin (not crazy about the bathroom setup). Why do you think the Getaway is the better ship?

I've been on both, and would choose the Getaway over the Epic any day...

What would make you choose the Getaway?

I’ve been on the Getaway and will be back on her in 3 days. Love that ship! I’ve heard bad comments about Epic’s bathroom set up.
