  1. After having our 6/7 Serenade cruise cancelled, we'll be on Odyssey's 10/22 cruise. First cruise since COVID, and I have a few Odyssey-specific questions:

    1) Are Ripcord and iFly ever available for free, or do you always book appointments and pay?

    2) What's the lowest daily price you've seen for VOOM Internet and The Key?

    3) Do the TV's have an HDMI port to simply "plug and play" from a laptop?

    4) Does your VOOM location change, or is it static? (Question is related to needing to use/change VPN country.)

I welcome any feedback. Thanks for your time.

  2. I received the automated email yesterday and am just waiting for the official word, so that I can book something else.

Quick question regarding offer to prior cancelled segments:

    • And, you’ll also be reimbursed for non-refundable, pre-purchased transportation change fees incurred (such as a flight, train ticket, or rental car).

      • We’ll cover up to $200 USD per guest for Domestic changes, or up to $400 USD per guest for International changes.

      • Please email your receipts and booking information to RoyalGuestRelations@rccl.com for review and reimbursement.

I already booked airline tickets for to Istanbul with Venice return. Generally, you can't change the routing on purchased tickets. My best option may be to cancel, pay the penalty and start fresh.

I assume RCL will cover a CANCELLATION fee up to $400 USD?

  3. We're on the June 7-20 cruise. I posted a few times on the World Cruise thread but got crickets. We're in the U.S., and our travel agent hasn't been notified YET that this date is cancelled. It was available for sale until yesterday but has now disappeared from RCL's website. Frankly, I would be happy if Option 2 is chosen, as it wouldn't impact our booked flights and hotels for June 7-20. That being said, I would be happier to book another ship and date to get away from this World Cruise soap opera.

Has anyone else in the U.S. received a cancellation for June 7-20?

  4. We're booked on the June 7-20 (Istanbul-Ravenna) mini-segment. RCL is still selling this segment with no itinerary changes. We haven't been contacted about changes or cancellation. I assume that's because you have to vote on the 2 options. If you choose option 2, which doesn't appear likely, those booked on June 7-20 could keep their bookings. Anyone else on the June 7th segment with information or contact from RCL?

  5. Hi. We will be on one segment - Istanbul to Ravenna (June 7-20) - but have been following along from the start. This is our first cruise since 2019 and really looking forward to revisiting some new, and several familiar, Greek, Turkish and Italian ports.

Has anyone posted current Cruise Compasses for Serenade? Is there a link someone can share? I check royalcaribbeanblog.com, but the latest is from October.

  6. I've never cruised with MSC before but did a status match to Diamond and wanted to try them in 2022. I booked an 11-night Magnifica itinerary departing 18 Apr 22 from Rome to Southampton in July. I tried accessing my booking the past 2 days and got error messages. I tried calling MSC. After 10 minutes of navigating a ridiculous phone tree, I spoke with an agent. She told me the sailing was CLOSED - aka cancelled - for the 18 Apr 21 departure. I received no notification and, apparently, can't even request a deposit refund until MSC decides what's happening with this date. The odd thing is that the cruise is still available from Genoa departing 19 Apr 22.

Is MSC really this bad? Their technology and customer service are awful.

  7. Is, or did, the refurbishment happen? I'm looking at April 2022 cruises and don't see any indication that deck plans changed. Website still touts all the changes. When I called MSC, they thought it was still happening, too. I'm potentially new to MSC, coming from RCCL and Celebrity, but am getting frustrated.
