We purchased the FTTF, I'd rather chill out on the ship than wait in line with everyone else. If nothing else we are on vacation and it's just part of the experience.

I live close by, I know Galveston well.

We won't be taking a debit card, but thanks for the tip about the ship making change! That is great news!!!

We did end up getting the FTTF so I won't have to hang out and burn prematurely. I've packed a few dresses, I'm a trucker so I live on packing light. Lol!

We prepaid our gratuities but we have already set aside a decent amount for additional cash tips. We are just trying to figure out how much of each denomination to bring since many places you won't get cash back for purchases.

It's my husbands first cruise and we are super excited! Now we are in the planning stage but how much money is too much to plan to take for spending money? We've already booked out excursions and paid everything off but we want to know what a reasonable amount of money is to take with us to buy things for family and friends? Or is a debit card a better option?

We booked our first cruise and we are excited but I've got some questions about it.

We our going on a 5 day cruise out of Galveston on Carnival Triumph and we were wondering if the $50 upgrade for VIP (faster to fun pass) is worth the money? Everyone I talked to says yes but they aren't experienced cruisers.

Also, any packing advice? I'm an over the road truck driver so pretty good at packing but also really good at leaving things behind too.
