How was the motion in your room on the ship ? Hoping we are not too close the front of the ship !?
We didn't really notice it much at all.

We were in 7106 and 7107 (connecting interior cabins) and it was fine. Cabin was quiet and we didn't hear noise from above. Had heard concerns about being so close to the kids and teens clubs, but it was a non-issue (and we had kids in both clubs).

Thanks for the head's up. Have reached out to our PCC to correct info.

I've paid the air deviation fee... would that not entitle me to helicopter pick up? How much should I tip the pilot?

Aft facing balcony on a 15 day Panama Canal cruise, FABULOUS! The best part was not "having" to fight the crowds up on deck to see the locks. Can't imagine doing that particular trip any other way.
You will love it, enjoy your cruise.
Excited to read this. We were originally booked on a 9th deck balcony, moved to the 10th and upgraded to aft balcony 10th deck on the Pearl for our partial-transit Panama cruise.

Boo. I'm sorry this happened to you. Hope karma catches them. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

What has been your experience with flight times, specifically from YYZ to MIA when booking reduced air with NCL? Also, direct flight or no? We aren't sailing for 500+ days yet and I know it's out of my control re: flight, but just curious. Thanks. 🛫🚢🍹

We're not big fans of wine. Has anyone been able to substitute something non-alcoholic, such as sparkling grape juice or cider?
I think you can call NCL and ask for substitution.

Mr. Worldwide and the Seabreeze sound delicious. To make a fair and equitable decision on the best, I think it only right to reserve judgment after trying all of them...

Paid or free perk?
Paid for. It was our first cruise on NCL.

We are booked on a partial out of Miami due to time constraints. DH wants to do the Two Oceans by Train excursion; I'd like to do the Ferry. Sigh... marriage is a compromise. He loves trains.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. That sucks. 😞
I just reviewed where our cabin is on the Pearl and moved from deck 9 to deck 10. Cabins above and below. I won't bid on an upgrade.- 1

Haven't been on the Entourage, but we were on the Sun 4 years ago this coming July. My daughter (14 at the time) attended Entourage. She had a great time with the other teens and still keeps in touch with some of them. I hear it's recommended the teens attend the meet & greet or orientation the first day of Entourage; otherwise, they will be like the new kid on the block coming in on subsequent days/events.
Happy cruising. 😎 -

We randomly drew one name to start.
They went to table and picked gift.
The giver of the gift went up and stood with them as they opened it. Explained it if needed.
Then the giver went to the table and picked a gift.
As "hosts" we contributed a gift but went last. If our gift was the last one on the table we were ok with that.
Gifts were very clever and very different. Food was a big hit (pralines from New Orleans, cheese from Wisconsin, candied pecans from Georgia), some college team logoed stuff, and some other local goods. We ended up getting a little porcelain box and a tea towel from a couple from England…I think about them and the cruise every time I use the towel or put my rings in the little box.
Having people stand up while they are getting and gifting made it easier to remember that they were so and so from such and such.
LOVE!

Thank you for the replys. We have over 40 people so far, so we don't want it to go too long. A version of that would be great!!
With 40 participants, the dice game would take some time. Name out of a hat seems like the most efficient idea as someone said above. Maybe get a captain's hat for fun? Or use an app to draw names ahead of the cruise - you would need participants' email addresses. I googled this app as an example - haven't used it myself: https://www.drawnames.ca/secret-santa-generator

You could bring a couple of pairs of dice or use an app (download app before boarding). 🙂

This thread is hilarious! Not as funny as most of the stories here, but this one sticks out in my mind on my family's first cruise. We decided to take a March Break cruise with friends (March 2011) on the Disney Magic. On one of our excursions, I think St. Martin, we were on the bus back to port. A truck broke down in front of the bus and we were trapped behind it. We weren't moving for quite some time so rather than wait for a tow truck, my friend decides to lead the passengers off the bus and push the truck out of the way... My friend is the woman in front. We made it back to the ship.

When my daughter broke her wrist first week of summer vacation, I paid extra for the "water" cast. Allowed her to get the cast wet in showers, swimming, etc. Best $ I spent. I belive the cost was only $70 (Canadian). Sending positive vibes to your son.

I hope this new policy fails, too. I booked NCL with the understanding my kids would be able to participate in the kids/teen clubs. I booked our cruise over a year ago and it's too late to cancel now.

That was breathtaking. Thank you for sharing.
