Thanks for the valuable info. It looks like Lucca is my second option! I will leave the Cinque Terre for another day. I have noticed that it is a bit of a hike to get there....wasn't going to do it on our own. I was looking for a group excursion, but at this stage not sure if I can get any people interested as most people opt to see Florence from Livorno.

first time taking a cruise and would really love some info on shore excursions.

I would like to see both the Cinque Terre and the Amalfi coast as my ship will be docking at both Livorno and Naples.

Can anybody recommend a really good economical small group tour? Or how do I join a small group to do the tour with?

I would appreciate any info.
