  1. We're in the same boat- literally. We just booked this exact same cruise, and are in our mid-thirties. Usually we sail DCL, but since this trip is going to be just me and the husband, we're branching out. I'm a *little* worried about the crowd - we have taken 1 other Princess cruise before, 12 years ago, and the demographic was definitely much older, but we still had a blast. At the end of the day, were mostly going to relax, so I'm hopeful it will fit the bill. :)

  2. I'm mostly interested in just following this thread for the feedback, but I do have a bit to add as well:

My DD4 just returned from the Carnival Sunshine with her grandparents. She had fun, but didn't like the kids club at all. From the sounds of it (we weren't invited on the trip! LOL!), they had little parties planned, but not really anything planned past the event. For example, they had a Prince and Princesses Party, but the kids didn't do any activities at all. DD got pretty bored of it. Whereas, I've heard phenomenal things about the Oceaneer's Club on DCL. I guess it depends how often you plan on catching a break while they're at the club?

  3. Is your first and only post seriously to complain that Disney considered the safety of it's passengers over entertainment?! I've missed a port due to weather conditions before too. Yes, it was a bummer, but given that (a) my safety was considered over and above making their $$ at the port, and (b) it was entirely out of everyone's control, I got over it.

I'm looking forward to my first visit to Castaway Cay more than any of the other ports (228 days to go!) and if I miss it, it will be disappointing, but at the end of the day, no one is to blame for mother nature. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your cruise and won't allow this to cloud your *good* vacation memories!
