  1. Due to Carnivals recent change in their water bottle rule (water bottles are no longer allowed), I'm missing a key element in my gift bags. In my bags I've included travel size medication, chapstickl, personalzied sun glasses, hand sanitizer, and shout wipes. I was hoping to include water bottles with a personalized label but now I'm unsure what to replace that item with. Any thoughts or ideas???

  2. Hi everyone,

Some of you may be aware of my story. I'm having to change my entire wedding due to taking a new cruise. For those of you that we're married at Mr. Sanchos, did you receive a sectioned off area for your group? Maybe in the garden area? I would be purchasing open bar and a buffet. How did you like the food? I want my guest to enjoy themselves but also have a little area for just my party.

Email me any suggestions or photos pleasec- dmfrazer88@gmail.com

I'm trying to re-plan an entire wedding, with 56 gifts, in a few days!

Thank you so much for all your help,

    Dawn

  3. Thanks for all the support.

Sorry I haven't updated sooner. I'm still in the works of finalizing our wedding plans. I have accepted Carnivals option of moving my group to the Victory cruising out of Miami on the same day. Once the news got involved, Carnival offered us flight reimbursements and room upgrades. They are truly trying to work with my group.

    The only wedding problem is,

The Miami ship arrives into Mexico much later which means i can no longer get married at 10am at the designated location.

Ive neen scrambling and talking to Carnival about our wedding options.

Overall- the hassle is not worth it. But we're sticking with Carnival so they won't screw us over again. Just think twice before anyone plans a wedding, event, or cruise vacation.

    Thanks

  4. This is a warning to everyone thinking of cruising with Carnival.

I planned on cruising on Carnival Paradise, out of Tampa, on December 3rd and getting married in Cozumel on December 5th of this year. My wedding, photographer, and cruise (along with 56 guests ) has been booked since March.

We got notice yesterday morning that the entire cruise has been chartered and is now CANCELLED. After many phone calls, I came to the realization that someone or some company paid Carnival a large sum of money to rent the entire boat. What does Carnival do? Well they kick everyone off... even those who have paid. How unbelievable?!

The worst part is, my wedding is ruined! Myself and my travel agent spoke to Carnival several times and they didn't seem to care. The only compensation offer was to change my cruise and give me $25 on-board credit per person. That is like putting a bandaid on Niagara Falls (my travel agents exact workds).

I've been on the phone and emailing ever since in order to make my wedding happen. Bottom line is, I can NOT get on the ship as I had paid for and booked.

This is a heads up to anyone planning a vacation and/or wedding with this cruiseline.

*I have also posted this in the "Carnival" section.

  5. I'm also looking for nautical things. I'm getting married in Cozumel in Dec. Weve already brought a bunch of personalized sunglasses, all in different colors. They are super fun and useful. I'm having trouble finding nautical, preferably something with an anchor, gift bags. I will need approx 40. I plan on Stuffing the bag with some useful items along with the glasses. I also want to make a welcome letter including a note from bride and groom.. as well as a directory of everyone's name and cabin number in the group. Any assistance is much appreciated!!

    Thanks

  6. Hi everyone,

Reading all these tips is very helpful. As mentioned before, I'm getting married at Nachi Cocom in Cozumel while on a Carnival cruise.

I think we will plan to get the Cheers drink package because we won't have to run to the room to make drinks. I believe Carnival let's you bring 1 bottle of wine per person, so I was thinking of getting alot of people to bring champagne (if allowed) so we can have our own toast at dinner, on the ship that night.

Has anyone brought guest bags? My plan is to bring one for each couple and have Carnival put them in their stateroom while boarding. I read somewhere that they will do this for $1 per bag. Has anyone else heard of that or is planning to do the same? I really want to avoid carrying 40 - something bags along with my dress and own luggage. I was hoping they'd take the bags when we check in our luggage.

  7. Thanks to everyone who has added great information to this thread! I am also searching for invitations/RSVP cards for my cruise wedding in December. I'm only 8 months away and need to find something quick!! i've shared all my information via e-mail but want to send something as well. I'm going to check out some of the suggestions I've read; I really like the boarding pass invitations :)

Also, I LOVE the idea of the coolers for the guest bags. I've been looking for beach bags (I will need approx 40) but haven't found anything in our budget.

If anyone has any pictures of invitations they've created, and you don't mind sharing.. can you please email me at dmfrazer88@gmail.com

    Thanks!

  8. Help! In order to get information out ASAP, as well as save money, I'm thinking about doing a cruise ticket invite with all necessary information.

Does anyone have templates or a website they used for a template?

How early should invites be sent? Our cruise is December 2015. All of our guests are aware of the dates as a heads up.

Thanks for any advice and information :)

  9. Thanks everyone for the input!

@Lil_One- was your wedding in the morning or evening? I'm pretty sure my cruise is only in port from 8am- 5pm so it will need to be a lunch ceremony/Reception which means it will need to be in the garden verse a private affair inside. I'm also looking for casual and fun so like the idea of hors d'oeuvre and drinks.
