Yes we got the deal as well finally but after running the numbers we just can’t justify the cost. I love to drink on the cruise and liked the easiness of just going to a bar and grabbing a drink. Price didn’t seem so painful but now when you total it up I have a hard time to $700-$900 for a drink package.
We just turned elite and will utilize the happy hour 5-7 and the breakfast where you can coffees.
We sail next week so will try a no drink package cruise.
We feel the same I loved the drink package but they are so expensive now. The fact that both people have to have it, at around 80cdn. a day each, on a 10 day cruise I don’t we are going to drink 1600 dollars worth. We utilize the elite happy hour to the max and pay as we go now.

I agree with Malta . Malaga was also a good one.
-
I’ve had crushed potato chips on halibut in a very good restaurant also.

Thanks all! Is there a limited number of complementary drinks during cocktail hour?
(thinking back to when Royal put 3 drinks on the card to use during happy hour, before Covid)
No it’s unlimited!

Is wine included in the Concierge lunch?
Only if you have a package!

If you want a catamaran trip stingray and snorkeling trip we went with Stingray Sailing. It is one of my favourite excursions ever , the private ones are much better than the crowed ship tours.
-
We were on twice last year it was very good with a great crew!

I will say that used to like to have the package. The last cruise we were on was the first without the package. We had the Elite breakfast drinks and used the 2 hours to stock up on beer and water, by asking for them unopened and put them in the fridge. For dinner we got wine and carried it in the dining room lots of people do it. I had rum and cokes before dinner. It was way cheaper to pay as you go whenever you wanted a drink than to buy the package, especially since the package can sometimes run over a thousand each.

It’s not just “a cookie”…it’s the best warm chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream 😋 on the planet, Just thinking about it makes me wish my Silhouette sailing was sooner than 90 days away 😉.
I know I’ve had I might have the crumble next time!

I love the Lawn Club, I always get the ribeye. The sides are great but I don’t get all the fuss about a cookie though.

Thanks for the reply I think we will bid on two .
-
Hi can you bid on two different categories for the same cruise?
-
Thanks for the info we will have to try it we have 23 days on the Edge next year!
-
Hi first time on Edge class ships, is the Rooftop similar to the Lawn Club on S class , and would you recommend it? Thanks.

I found the beef on the Eclipse in October to be great. The prime rib was very good and the ribeye in Tuscan was excellent also.

For the OBC and perks / rebates. We would not get them otherwise.
How are you getting them?

Thanks everyone for the replies lots to read up on. Had a upgrade booked last night the price got screwed up our TA has to sort out today, it is handy when you can get in touch with her on a short notice.

Just booked a middle SV on the Edge in October next year! Pretty happy

I always love Victoria at Christmas! We will get online for the Butchart Garden tickets: haven't been there since I was at UVic. Will be walking a lot around town and seeing the sights, hoping some boats in the Inner Harbour are lit up, too.
Have yourself a Merry Christmas!
We were there tonight don’t miss it!

Just wondering what if any extras you get from your TA when you book a cruise. We have been a very loyal customer to our agent for many years, and we seem to be able to get the same deals on our own. We used to get a small obc now we get nothing. Reading on CC I see that people seem to be getting something for their loyalty. Just wondering what agents booking in Canada are giving if anything.

Have you considered a Sunset Verandah? Large traditional balcony with beautiful views of the ship’s wake.
We have but fairly expensive.

We are thinking about booking an Australia and New Zealand cruise next year on the Edge. Looking at maybe a guaranteed partially obstructed iv. Not crazy about the IV balcony to begin with but the Edge is the ship in Australia at this point. This is our first cruise on the Edge class how bad is the obstruction we usually sail on S class. Thanks.
Celebrity Constellation Refurb 2024? Is this a nice ship?

We just got off the Connie TA last week . We all (4) thought it was great, it was in better shape than the Eclipse was in October for sure. The only thing that I wasn’t fussy about was the buffet setup. Great staff we would all sail on her again.
