Yes I have been lucky to cruise a bit ,Love it ,Cant wait to be back at sea .

Have been in Barcelona several times a beautiful city a lot to see and do ..

I used the open top bus tours round the city hop on and hop off really good !

Im flying in on the sat night before the cruise so I dont think I would make the show .

Regarding the studio cabins ,have you used these before ?

Do you book shore excursions pre cruise or do you wait to see if a group of solo cruisers form.

I had a similar experience to skyking. Oasis may 3-10. premium package was DEFINITELY worth it. Drinks were STRONG, being able to get bottled water, wine with all meals and a drink when ever I wanted without having to budget or worry about a big tab at the end of the cruise was great. More than got my moneys worth out of it and would do it again in a heart beat.

 

edit: wish they would show you how much you would have spent w/o package so you could see if its saved you money or not. But I know for sure I probably got my money back just in bottled water and wine :-)

At the end of our cruise we got a print out of the bars we visited and how many times we had a drink at each bar .

As we stuck to regular drinks , we could add up at each bar and we have to say it was very well worth having the drinks package .

Have fun our next cruise is only a few days away and drinks package has been put in place !!

I agree with those who posted and said its fun to watch Newbies go Wow at the ship. I am happy for first time cruisers as I always remember my first cruise and that sense of wonder and awe at seeing the atrium. I kept thinking how huge the ship was and felt like I was in a fancy hotel instead of a ship. I say let them have all their experiences whether good or not. It is their first cruise after all. Don't deprive them.

The biggest thrill is the ding of your card on the first entry to the ship and you know your on holiday ! It's the best sound in the world !!!

I had a fab Martini on IOS . It was a chocolate Martini. So good. When I returned to Ireland I asked for a chocolate Martini and was given a dry martini with drinking chocolate sprinkled in the top it was disgusting. Maybe I got the name wrong.

Hopefully on the Equinox, I can track it down again.
