I see that this thread has some old information on it. Newbie to Cunard, so I have a couple questions. I need to arrange pickup information with our hotel. When does Cunard give you your disembarkation time? The hotel says that I can provide a pickup time no later than one day prior. Should we just do "Self-disembarkation"? I assume you are to carry your own bags for this? If so, do you suggest the 9-9:30am pickup time for a private car hire? I am told disembarkation should begin approx. 7:30am (02 July, Deck 6, Queen Victoria).

It sounds like I'll also have to check with the hotel as to where the car will pick us up at. Thank you for any advice you can provide.

We've been quoted 50.00 USD per person for the Cunard transfer. I believe that is what we are going to lean towards.

Thank you all for your advise. It gives us a few things to think about. I do like that if we do choose to go with the Cunard transfer, we will not have to worry about our luggage until onboard. Thank you also for the links to the other options. I will have to check into them.

Is there anyone that has recently used the Cunard transportation option from London down to Southampton? Does it drop you off right at the cruise ship? I am not at all interested in using the rail system to get to Southampton from London and thought this may be a good option. A little background here, wife and I will be staying in Central London (Conrad St. James) for a few days prior to the cruise. I Also, do not want to have her to have to lug any luggage around. Taking a cab to the meeting point in London for the pick up is all about I want to have her have to do with luggage. It's our 25th wedding anniversary and I would like to make this as easy as possible for her. Any better options on how to get to Southampton? Thank you for any help!
